Question about censored mail by
ZLorca
Hi,
I've seen some vintage postcards and letters from Russia around 1917 and
WWII US that have had censored marked on the envelope.
Typically how were letters and postcards censored? Did the offensive
material get blacked out or where the letters just not delivered?
Thanks!

(RCSD) Advice on sourcing or creating missions by
Joshua McGee
Hello,
My idea for a new project probably involves exerting far too much
effort for little return.
I want to acquire mission mixes, cherry-pick items for individual
resale, up-convert the remainder to packets, and sell through trade
papers. I was wondering if anyone had information, general...

4-cent Chippendale Chairs error by
danielcboyer
I've discovered an error in the sheet of Scott 3750, the 4-cent
Chippendale Chair, with the background consistently a lighter colour
of brown and shifted down so there is a white space between it and the
border. Has anyone seen this, or does anyone have any further
information?

(RCSD) Inverted date slug by
Joshua McGee
Hello,
The United States Postal Service have made it much easier to make
unofficial First Day Covers. It used to be that a stamp was available
in one city on the "first day", and then nationwide the next day.
Now, the stamp is available everywhere on the first day.
In running around town(s)...

WTD-1850 Sets Austria & Lombardy-Venetia by
LordTweedsmuir
I am looking for large lots/Collections of the 1850 sets of both Austria &
Lombardy-Venetia.
I will consider both stamps and also F/L and Covers with these stamps.
I prefer large lots and collections, rather than single stamps.
Nice cancels and top condition is preferred.

(RCSD) U.S. Federal Tax Stamp -- Liquor by
Joshua McGee
Hello all,
Your assistance kindly requested:
I have the following U.S. Revenue stamp, intact, affixed to a 1/10
pint (47 ml) bottle of "Glayva" liqueur. It is approximately 13mm x
87 mm (or reversed; I don't know which direction should be considered
horizontal), carmine (?) in color, and is...

Value of These Stamps? by

Hey All,
I picked up this 1937 Scott Stamp Album at a book sale and it is
loaded with stamp. Afraid I am all new to stamps so I thought you
could help me identify some of them. I only photographed the ones I
think are interesting:

(RCSD) Widest stamp by
Ralphael1
I think I have fallen heir to the widest stamp of all.
As near as I can tell it is 6.125 inches.
It is the 2007 French Antarctic Territory beauty, Race of the Sun.

The Joint Stamp Issues Society is dead. Same story as many
organizations, not enough volunteer help.
Richard Zimmermann is responsible for the start up and nearly all the
work since the beginning. There were a couple of others that did
contribute to the success of the Society but with the flood of...
