Sheaffer Comp Imperial Question - I think I broke the code by Jim Mamoulides
Fellow Collectors, I now have two mint sets of Sheaffer Comp pens, those oddball shorty Imperial or Imperial lookalike cartridge pens from the early 1960s. One has the "visulated" barrel that seems to be the rage for people looking for this pen and is stenciled "COMP II". The other has a regular...

thinnest medium? by PalmUser
What pen and penmaker typically has the thinnest medium nib? I've got an Aurora Ipsilon that's a medium but is thinner than many fine nibs. . .I like it that way, and I'm wondering what other pens have typically thinner mediums? PU

lifespan of a good pen? by Faisal Bhua
Hello, This is concerning the lifespan of a good quality fountain pen. I have heard from people that they have pens dating back to 1970s and they still write well. Being a complete newbie in this matter, could somebody verify this for me? Supposing I write a single page for 30 years, that's...

Price of Vacs by Penny Howland
What would be a reasonable price to pay for reconditioned Parker Vacs from I guess 20s or 30s, blue striped or the bit larger greenish striped pens...new "works" and pens are in good shape on the outside and will be sold with new nibs. Thanks.

Hopefully not too OT by Penny Howland
Saw a pen I wanted on EBay but price was in Euro and I haven't a clue as to exchange rate and couldn't find it anywhere! I even got the translated site but no info. I almost went 1,500 euro over but thought that was stupid not knowing what I was doing! Might get a bill for $250 or some such...

Parker 75 AF? by mz
I ran across a mention of a Parker 75 aerometric filler. The reference materials at hand list only cartridge/convertor fillers. Did Parker make 75s in AFs? TIA, Mark Z.

Help: Soennecken 333 Extra by John Leonard
Everyone, I have opporturnity to purchase a Soennecken 333 Extra. I haven't any experience with this manufacturer (except to have recently read that the company went out of business in the 60's), the dating (nomenclature) of its pens, or prices for the brand. The pen and nib are lightly used (as...

Lamy 2000 & divers silicone by William Bosner
Just a quick response to an earlier query about Lamy 2000's. I am into writers pens. They certainly make the grade. They are beautifully understated. They write really well. They don't dry out. They are comfortable (to my hand). They are very durable so I don't shudder at the thought of dropping...

Requesting info on the Lamy 2000 by David Heverly
I'm thinking of breaking my self-imposed limit of $50 and treating myself to a new pen. Specifically, I was pondering the purchase of a Lamy 2000 fountain pen. (It's about as "non-jewelry" a pen as I know of.) As I don't have ready access to a pen store where I could actually pick one up and...

Pocket Clip for Pen Case by Kit Lewis
Bending over in the changing room of a clothing store, my pen case fell out of my shirt pocket, containing my MB Meisterstuck Legrand FP and my Cross Townsend BP. There was a sickening crack (like the snapping of a bone) as it hit the tiled floor. My heart in my mouth, I checked the MB and found...

I got a Parker 51!!!!! by Derek Murray
Hey all, I ordered a Parker 51 the other day off of Ebay, and I got it today. I must say, this is a very stylish pen with pure, simple classic beauty. However, I don't know how old it is. It has a plain chrome colored cap with a black plastic cone on the top, and says it's a Parker 51 special. ...
