New MB Starwalker? by
Aaron W. Hsu
Hey all,
What do you all think of the MontBlanc Starwalker with the brushed blue
lacquer type finish? I just went to one of the boutiques and I really
fell in love with the finish and the overall look. Weight with the
cap twisted onto the top (nice feature) was a bit unbalanced for me, but...

My second attempt with orange inks: Caran d'Ache Colors of the Earth Saffron by
Juhapekka Tolvanen
You can see sample of it he
http://freenet-homepage.de/pensninks/CDA/CDA.html
I am getting closer to perfect orange ink. This is good enough, already.
But I can imagine even better orange ink. If I would mix this with some
other ink, I would add just a drop or two of red or red-orange...

cartridge pens by
wolfy
I always loved the Sheaffer cartridge pens-still use the calligraphy
pwnss.
What I love to do is switch ink colours and see what shades come up in
between!
It's part of being an artist, I guess.
One day in college, i had a bottle of ink and a rag with me. I filled
the pen and my German professor...

What will rejuvenate markers? by
Doc[_2_]
I seem to recall reading somewhere that dipping dried out magic
markers in toluene will work, but can't seem to find it in the local
hardware stores, though I thought I've seen it in the past.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Frank Dubiel Videos by
Sonny
I recently came across some video clips of Frank Dubiel lecturing at a
Washington D.C. pen show (1999). Does anyone know if there are any better
quality videos on line of Frank teaching or lecturing? Please let me know
if you do.
Thank you.

A List? by
Don
I know parker bought Sensa and someone else bought Parker. Is there
ever been an article written that give a lay of the land so to speak
of which companies owns which pens? Or which companies own other
pen companies?
Thanks for your time and efforts.

The New MonteVerde Hand Painted Pens, Opinions? by
Aaron W. Hsu
Hey all! Long time no talk.
I was wondering if anyone had purchased any of the MonteVerde Hand
Painted pens and such. I'd love to see a fountain pen version, as I
really like how they look, but I don't know if they are as good as
they look. Any comments?

modern eyedropper fountain pens by
MatthewK
The ED Kawecos from Swisher have been my dialy carry pens for about a
month now. I really like them for a variety of reason and would like to
get some more eyedropper style pens. I've had aerometric, piston,
converter, and ED fillers. The ED pens are my favorite type so far.
As far as I know my...

Damaged Expert by
Bart
I've got several Waterman Expert pens, fountain pens and ballpoints, really
like them and use them daily. Unfortunately, I recently dropped one of my
fountain pens while uncapped and seriously damaged the nib. Assuming I
could simply purchase a replacement screw-in nib, I searched Google but...

Observation by
Don
I took my Pelikan M600 with me to our cabin (elevation 5600 ft).
Started to use it and had ink all over the pen and in the barrel.
Guess I should turn back the piston pump before I go?

nib manufacture -- iridium tipping by
MatthewK
Does anyone out there know how iridium was/is put on nib tips? I find a
reference in The Complete Metalsmith (a jewelers reference book) that
lists platting pen nibs as a use of the platinum group.
Does anyone remember Frank Dubiel speaking of this?
