A Few Thoughts on Consumer Protection by
Jorg Lueke
The balance between consumer protection and individual responsibility
in the field of coin collecting has been a focus of mine since I first
received a overgraded coin from a mail order dealer. At twelve years
old I knew the coin I received was not very fine at all, but really
just a fine knocking...

$1 dollar bills by
Daniel
I have about 6 one dollar bills. They are in sequence order. Would it
be worth putting them on Ebay or any other auction site? If so, about
how much would I get for them? They are in good to very good shape. The
only thing I saw wrong with besides where they were folded is some one
at one time had...

Inherited Silver Dollars by
Tarnation
I am suddenly in posession of 20 Buffalo silver dollars and will
probably liquidate. Can someone give me some idea of a fair price I
should ask. Also, Grandfather's birthday was in 1921 and he saved a
371 circulated silver dollars (mostly the newer type) and someone said
they were worth a "small...

OT-ebay question by
barbara beardsley
Hi
I sold a 10$ gold coin and the winning bidder lives in Mexico. I
specifically stated I would ship to the U.S. only. On occasion I've shipped
internationally anyway, but somewhere I recall reading something about the
Mexican authorities confiscating an inordinate amount of numismatic
material....

Buffalo Nickel, 1918-S raw: Opinions on grade? by
Bob Hairgrove
I knew it would go high, but almost $450?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8412808684
I ducked out at around $150. Looks like EF-40, possibly cleaned AU to
me. Any other opinions?

1893 Proof Set Value - NGC PR63-65 by
rs
Hi, I have always wanted to assemble an old proof set. Heritage recently
auctioned one (link below). I'm wondering - was it worth the price it sold
for? The individual coins wouldn't price out that high I don't think but
for a matched set, all cameo (except the 1c), how much is that worth? ...

1999 Silver Proof sets PRICE? by
George D
I just checked on eBay and it seems that the going price for 1999 US 9 coin silver proof
sets is between $350.00 and $375.00 a few higher and a few lower.
Has anybody tracked the price? Is it going up over the last year or two, down. or staying
steady?
TIA
George

Sending Coins to US by
MTS-News
Considering selling a few old coins on ebay. Wondering about sending into
the US from Canada. One has to put a declaration on any package/oversize
envelope. Would this not advertize to potential thieves the package contains
coins? Any one had experience in this that can suggest any advice?

Shipping coins to US by
MTS-News
Have a few older coins I would like to sell on EBay but I'm wondering about
sending into the US. Any package would have to have a customs declaration
with it, and I'm concerned that specifying "coins" would set up a red flag
for possible theft. Has any one sent coins across the border? How did...

Biggest/Best Coin Shows in Europe? by
Nick Knight
Hi Gang,
It's just a thought. A desire. A long-shot. But I've been thinking about
Europe.
Are there the equivalent of the ANA shows anywhere in Europe? I guess they
don't even have to be THAT big to be of interest, but I have to imagine that
some big ones exist. Yes?
Can anyone recommend a...

Where/How is Eric Tillery?? by
Eric Babula
Does anyone know what REALLY happened to Eric Tillery?
I understand he got banned from the CU Boards. I understand he's had
some health problems. He hasn't been posting to RCC - at least not under
the k6az name.
Where is he? How is he doing? Is he still posting about coins,
somewhere? Does anyone...

Sophiticated BC Counterfeiters by
Jorg Lueke
For one coin the article makes a lot of conclusions. They do
mention the fact that the coin could have been added later, but then
assert their conclusion unless the former condition is proven.
Interesting nontheless.

Holed coins by

Someone recently posted that they collect holed coins. Here's a 1802

The half-cent may clean up to show the date.
