Notice to eBay sellers of Half Cents by
Gerald Buckmaster
Greetings,
I respectfully and regrettably inform all sellers of United States Half
Cents who utilize eBay as a market that I will no longer participate as a
bidder in any auction that eBay member 'gatzkers' is allowed to bid on. If
you would like me to consider your half cent offering, I now ask...

Bit off topic, but I was wondering what Newsreader everyone here uses to
access this. I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird 1.02. B)
I sometimes use Opera 8, Netscape 7.2, Mozilla 1.8b, and GoogleGroups as
well. ;)

Yes, I'm cheap by
The Fausts
I've placed myself on a strict coin budget of late. This presents a
challenge because I know from past experience that I need to add to my
collection on at least a monthly basis in order to maintain my enthusiasm.
Normally it's preferable to save up a bit and buy nicer coins, but under
these...

Terrorism and Counterfeits by
Michael E. Marotta
No multinational corporation suffers a loss when a few thousand fake
ancients or fake Trade Dollars are run off and sold a few hundred at a
time here or there. The key problem with criminality is that it
throws all criminals together. Cigarettes are heavily taxed in one
place; pork is illegal in...

What trolling is by
Reid Goldsborough
Recently Jorg Lueke make up the secret sockpuppet Reid Trollsborough
and used it for a month to try to harass me by posting junk messages
to threads I was in and creating new junk threads, stopping when Nick
Knight exposed him and what he was doing. I've taken issue with how
what he did was wrong,...

HEY LINDA......WE HEAR YOU, OK??????? by
Jim
First the html idiocy forever. So bad, people are begging you to fix it.
Then when no one seems to be responding to you quickly enough, we get:
"Somebody PLEASE step up"
When that got somebody to snap to, along comes:

gogu[_7_]
Hello friends!
I am not usually selling coins but right now I want to sell a specific coin
and I have a couple a questions regarding these new rules I hear lately.
The coin is encapsulated in a slab of one of the companies which are not
considered kosher by eBay.
My question is if I can list...

Plug for Yahoo Seller by
Keith Fletcher
I've never made a recommendation like this before, but I'd like to put in a
plug for Yahoo seller J40D60. She is a wonderful seller of RAW coins but,
being on Yahoo, she doesn't get the kind of bidding activity she deserves.
I picked this little beauty up from...

More on test cuts by
Reid Goldsborough
At the ANA show, one of the many amazing things I saw was a group of
43 archaic Athenian Owls, each with a test cut, each with the test cut
splitting the owl head in half, similar to a test-cut Owl I bought a
few months ago:

2004 Nickel Designs Announced by
Jerry Dennis
I woke up this morning at 5 AM to CNN, just in time to hear that the Mint
announced the new design(s) for the 2004 nickel. Of course, I jumped to the
Mint's website and found NOTHING (so what else is new?). No pictures or
details on CNN, either.

Hear Ye! Contest! by

In honor of the generosity I have received from RCCers of late, I am
holding a contest. Nothing overly spectacular, but certainly worth more
than the winner will pay! ;o)
The prize is an EFish 1893 Columbian Exposition half. No major problems,
looks like a little bit of a rim ding, dark toning....
