Pelikan Souveran Silver Trims Series by
Henry
Hello,
I was browsing nibs.com and at this link
http://www.nibs.com/index.html?http://www.nibs.com/PelikanM800Series.htm ,
it mentioned that the silver trim series might be discontinued. I was
wondering if there are any basis of truth to this or if anyone knows
anything about it.

Pink Pilot Demonstartor by
Speebob
This is a Brand new mint, Pilot Crystal. I have a few of these. They are
brand new, never used, with sticker on the pen and in box. This is a fairly
new model from the last 4-5 years I think but I know it's not in the 2001+
catalogs since I have them. Nice pink-ish translucent pen with gold...

Lead Size-Older Pencils by
Speed
Were there any standards in effect when earlier mechanical pencils
first appeared? I just bought a Sampson Mordan pre 1850 pencil and am
wondering what size lead it takes.
What about pencils from 1900-1950?
If anyone knows where to find this information, I would appreciate it.
Thanks

YIPPEE! by
Bluesea
I think...I think that I may have won a new convert over to fountain pens.
On Thursday, I happened to mention to a lady friend that writing w/ a fp is
easier than writing w/ a bp because no pressure is needed to get the ball
rolling and I let her try an XF Sheaffer Viewpoint and a med. Namiki...

PENMART01
A three year old boy in his bath examined his testicles and asked,
"Mommy, are these my brains?"
Mom said, "Not yet, honey."

Bamboo-shaped pens by
Curtis L. Russell
I like thick pens and am thinking of adding one of the pens shaped
like a thick, multi-section bamboo shoot. Has anyone written with one
(any manufacturer) and formed an opinion for or against?

is there a perfect notebook or journal for FPs? by
PalmUser
I've googled until I'm Florida Blue in the face, looking for a
recommendation for a journal or notebook (not larger than 8.5 X 11 inches or
so) with paper that will not feather (PR ink) or show through significantly,
preferably bound so that it will lay flat. (I use an XF usually, BTW, with
very...

Little Pilot Birdie pen by
Speebob
This is a nice little pen with a very high Japanese cute-ness factor. This
is the little Pilot Birdie fountain pen. This is the old model and the new
model, the new one is in stainless steel only. The Birdie was ever sold in
the US. It's only 4-5/8" long and a thin 9mm in diameter (but not as...

Initial ink flow low. by
Strider
I have a couple of pens that behave badly in the same way.
When I begin writing there is no ink flow. If I depress the nib
to fles it, ink does not flow in between the tines, even though I
can see ink on the upper part ( when held in a writing position )
of the feed. Either putting a small drop of...

Rare Esterbrook Nib Display case on ebay by
JonR529
After offering this for sale @$175, with no takers, I reluctantly relisted it
on ebay for a Sunday evening close. Reserve is now $150. If it doesn't reach
reserve, we may negotiate a price that's fair to the consignor. Bid and you
might just win a real interesting piece of early Esterbrook...

Meisterstuck 146 - Pen lays too much ink on the page... by

Hi,
I'm sorry if this isn't the correct group to post in - but I think this is
where to find pen knowledge! Google was no good at all!
Has anyone experienced any problems with the Meisterstuck putting too much
ink on the page? Whenever I write on ordinary lined A4 paper the ink remains
wet for a...
