safe to soak a snork? and sac saving . by kcat
say that ten times very fast! first question - is it safe for me to soak the nib of a snork that probably hasn't been used for a loooong time in mild ammonia/water mix. I believe it's a Saratoga - open nib. I received a snorkel today in need of restoration. The only apparent problem is the sac...

The tiny Pilot Penko by Speebob
I have some really neat pens to offer you tonight. This is the little tiny Pilot Penko fountain pen. The Penko is no longer made and I don't believe it was ever sold in the US. It's only 4-3/4" long and a very thin 5/16" in diameter. It's all metal with a nice lacquer or brushed stainless...

waterman charleston problem continues by BC
Hi, I have had a couple of posts regarding the skipping waterman charleston fp. I eventually got it sent back to waterman repairers in australia who replaced the nib. Got it back - but it still skips after writing a bit. It doesn't skip much (maybe first stroke every sentence or two). I have sent...

more on the snork -"rare" nib? by kcat
Nathan's pages on snork repair mention that a few of the Snorkel Saratogas were made with white gold nibs and that these are relatively rare. well - after cleaning off the nib on this pen (which from all other descriptions appears to be a Saratoga) I did discover that it is marked 14K and is...

Diamine Ink? by David Heverly
I was wondering if anyone out there has tried the Diamine inks. They seem to have shown up on a few of the popular pen web sites in the US over the last few weeks. Those of you who have tried them, I'd be interested in any impressions you may have in terms of flow and intensity of color? I saw a...
