Req: Help finding good coin dealer in Seattle? by
Tom Johansen
Hi.
I'll be going to Seattle on a short vacation.
Could anyone help me find some good coin dealer in Seattle?
Last time I was there, I could only find one good shop "Rare coin gallery"
in the centre of Seattle.
Anyone know of any coin shows near Seattle, in August?
OT:
Any good pub ;o)?

Shipwreck coin by
Bland Allison
Everything about this seems "fishy," so to speak:
250018124120
The grade is "Prime Select," which sounds like a cut of beef to me. The
PCGS label looks like it was stuck on after the fact.
Maybe I'm completely wrong. Anyone have any insight into this?

500 havles arrived from the bank yesterday..Very Nice by
seeker
I got to the bank and my single box of 500 havles were there. They did
not ask my name and I am pretty sure they would have given them to
anyone who asked for them! A nice little box 25 rolls on top of 25
rolls. The first roll I opened were 4 40% silver. By the 4th roll I had
found a 1945 walker....

Triple play by

Well, not really, but sort of. My wife and I walk a couple of miles most
days in an effort to shed some unsightly flab. We started this excursion
about the middle of May, and both of us have made some good progress toward
reaching our individual goals. Not infrequently, one of us will spot a...

the stupid crossposters dribble in.... by
Bill Woodier
Too bad all you brain trusts out there sneaking onto your mommy's or daddy's
computer can't figure out how to type an intelligence sentence. Also too
bad you can't figure out how not to cross-post. While you're thinking about
that, why not think about growing up and getting lives, eh. Christ!...

August 22, 1994 -- Happy Anniversary RCC by
Mike Marotta
The usenet newsgroup rec.collecting.coins dates from August 22, 1994.
It began as a maillist, . At the ANA annual summer
convention in Detroit in 1994, about a dozen of us met for the first
"online club meeting." (No, we were not an official ANA club. No, no
one paid our dues....

Cherrypicking 1967 UK pennies? by
Jim Seymour
I have in my possession a large pile of uncirculated 1967 British
pennies and plan to go through and cherry pick some nice examples.
Anyone know if there any interesting varieties I should be looking for?

It doesn't compute by
Mr. Jaggers
I attended the monthly coin bourse in East Kumquat this morning. About
two-thirds of the regular dealers were there, the rest apparently on their
way to ANA.
One of the dealers had an 1806 quarter in PCGS VG-10, with a price sticker
that read $775. I have no doubt that it will sell near that...

Accugrade and RCC by

Did anyone read the article in the Aug. 14th issue regarding the lawsuit ACG
is still pursuing? I was a bit confused about the charges that the ANA
somehow used the RCC newsgroup to attack ACG. I was under the impression
that RCC is a usenet newsgroup, indepedent and unmoderated like other...

A strange one by
Amistad
A friend at work showed me a 1998-D cent today that he recently found in
change. I brought it home to weigh, and I find that, like other Zincolns,
it weighs 2.5 grams. It looks just like a dime as far as its color is
concerned. If this is the core of the cent (minus its copper coating),...
