Local currencies such as the one they use in that one city in New York
State replacing national currencies such as the dollar, euro, yen, peso,

FA: 1877 Indian Head Cent PCGS VF-35 Nice one! by
Ira Stein
Virtually EF-40 details and great color. An old shallow nick on reverse
just above the E on ONE is what kept it from a grade of EF-40 in my
opinion.
See it at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41085&item=3957216692
Also have a VF-30 for less $$ on eBay as well.

Bored with coins? by
Steven Preston
No, not a troll post but an invitation to discuss exonumia- basically
anything coin related but not a coin (medals, tokens, etc.). I already
have a top 10 list of what I consider the most interesting pieces of
exonumia and eventually I'll write them up in an article; so if you list
a piece and it...

1922-1927 Canadian dimes by
A_Canadian
Anybody know why there was no Canadian dimes minted from 1922 to 1927?
There's just a gap in the 2004 Charlton's guide, no mention of why.

Found in California by
Alan Williams
Just looked through my orphans/abandoned coins from California and found
a sad surprise!
One of the cents I found on the street (literally!) in LA is a 1952-S.
It's a parking lot coin, but still showed some glints of red underneath
the 'drive over me' damage. ;-( From a storage locker parking...
