Removing brown hinge marks by
John Mycroft
Gday
I've got a number of stamps from the 1930s & 40s with nasty brown marks from various evil hinges of the period, many of
them showing through to the front. Does anyone know a successful method for cleaning them off, preferably while keeping
the gum on the mint stamps. I have seen a product...

(RCSD) Hologram-Stamped Envelope Not Catalogued? by
SkySea[_2_]
The Scott Catalog lists a 32-cent pre-stamped envelope as U639. The
stamp is a hologram of an astronaut and a platform in orbit above
Earth.
I have two of these, but they're 29 cents. I can't find them in the
catalog. I'm sure I'm just not finding them. Could someone help me out
and tell me their...

John Mycroft
Gday, again
I've seen ads for a product called ERNI from Lindner that removes mildew - are they talking of the brown spots usually
referred to as rust or foxing? If so, can anyone confirm if these chemicals are actually potassium permanganate and
citric acid and, if they are, in what...

Burning Stamp Collection - Proper? by
Anonymous
A friend has admitted that in disgust with offers to buy
from so-called reputable dealers, he has now started to
burn his huge collection.
He says that the offers to buy were so insulting,
he feels that by burning his collection, at least
he will be denying the crooks the chance to make
money...

Hello people
It's about time I had a personal website, especially for stamp stuff.
So far only ID questions and a link page.
Could you take a quick look at
http://www.jandoggen.org/Stamps/StampIdentify.htm and see if anything is
familiar? I'm always surprised at the combined knowledge that is...

Hi All,
I have just been 'caught out' and thought a timely reminder to
everyone about Bank Card Fraud could be useful, especially
at this time of year....
I received a message from Amazon about an unauthorised
payment, which I thought was one of those fake warnings that
arrive almost every day....
