Hard to find 2 sided enameled by
Michael R
I can't believe I placed a snipe on this coin for more than the current bid.
(That's GBP not $)!

These 2 sided enameleds are hard to find.
I still don't know how those turn of the century artisans did that?

This is really rare by
Anita
Shopping tonight. Found this really rare coin:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3966104676&fromMakeTrack=true
Not a bad looking coin from what I can tell from the photo -- if you
ignore the thumb print. It's amazing that it has drawn 7 bids with so
little info. Maybe they wrote...

Revolution in Kurgistan by
Kenny
Well, to think that only recently the Kurgs were being poison-gassed by
Saddam, and now they've got their own coins and have had their own
revolution. Bit suspicious though - President Akayev disappears and can't be
found. A Mr Bakiyev appears and takes over. There's quite a similarity
between...

I need links about Russian coins by
Bob Hairgrove
I need some info about silver rubles from ca. 1840-1860, especially
with all the different wreath and eagle varieties.
Up to now, I thought my Uzdenikov reference was all I needed.
Apparently, there are lots more varieties, especially combinations of
different reverses, than are listed there. I've...

What's this about Oregon minted its own money in 1959? by
Scot Kamins
Yo,
A buddy of mine says that in 1959 Oregon minted its own 50-cent piece as
a centennial commemorative currency. It was allegedly legal and valid
dough. It worked in all vending machines. Anybody know about this?

What would you have done? by
Cliff
I was out yard saling today and ran across an estate sale. Older lady
had the remains of her husbands coin collection for sale. She had
three rolls of common peace dollars, mostly 22 and 23. I paid her 15
per coin (even though the ones I looked at graded about $12 per). I
also got a jefferson...
