Red Plate 77 by
sealladh58
I have just been searching through an SG Windsor album containing just
early Victorian stamps. To my surprise in the Perforate Red Plate
section I saw that one was included for the infamous Plate 77. I am
not an expert on stamps, but I do know that Plate 77 is extremely
rare.
Are there any...

(RCSD) Movies and Stamps by
Blair (TC)
The film The Edge of the World (1937) is based on the real life
(1930) evacuation of "Hirta" one of the Outer Hebrides islands
that forms St Kilda). The film was made on another island Foula.
Not much philately, but in the film we see the Post Office and
a letter plays a prominent role in the...

jrichman
Hi Everyone!
I scanned and posted on my website the new Israeli stamps
that were issued in December 2007.
I included the stamp itself, the first day cover,
and an English and a Hebrew flyer about the stamp.

Canal Zone Stationary & Last Day by
Ken[_2_]
Why isn't Canal Zone Stationary in the Scott Book 1?
Also why isn't Last day of operation included? Seems important.

(RCSD) Stamp images to Flash Drive by
Ralphael1
I had some stamp images stored in 'My Documents' that had the size and
brightness enhanced using Photoimpression and were in the form of
Bitmap and JPG.
I sent the folder to my new Flash Drive but when I checked the files
they had changed to Paint and reverted to the original size and...

(RCSD) OSPC by
Joshua McGee[_2_]
Is the OSPC (Online Stamps & Philatelic Club) a legitimate
organization? I received an email asking me to join. I signed up to
check it out, and I've received two "Circuit Requests", one with an
address in India, one in Malaysia, both with the same highly specific,
long list of Topics collected...

selling unused stamps. by
1787[_2_]
I have seen several reports of people selling stamps to a dealer for a
surprisingly small percentage of cat.
Let's say I want to sell a major dealer a sheet of 40 common, unused (NH)
25c US stamps (with selvage). Am I to expect an offer of less than $10? If
so, why wouldn't I just use them...

17c non-macniable surcharge by
John Mycroft[_2_]
My local USPS office is making a fortune out of me with this new 17c surcharge on
non-machinable mail which they seem to slap on anything with a bit of card in the
envelope. My question is how do they count the value of the stamps I stick on the
envelope and what kind of machine do they use to...

It just occurred to me that the more I read this group, the more attractive
the Italian, French and Danish philatelic groups appear. Sigh!
