Pop Survey for June, 2008 by
Bluesea[_3_]
Which ink colors are you using this season for social correspondence?
Me: To friends - Noodler's Quick Lime, Britannia's Blue Waves, Rachmaninoff,
and Bay State Blue. Diamine Orange.
I need to write a letter with some serious content to my aged aunt so I'm
likely to use a dark color for it,...

ink advice by
MatthewK
Well, when DL first started posting he "called out" one of my
old posts on why I like fountain pens. In return I asked for
his reasoning and it was inks!
It's made me want to expand my color collection some...that and
my boring colors are killing my notetaking and letter writting.
I have blacks,...

Deirdre Saoirse Moen[_2_]
Here's the color card of the five current colors:
The Tsuki-yo is very similar (in color) to Noodler's Legal Lapis.

Survey: Upon Crossing Over to the Orange Side by
Bluesea[_3_]
It's taken me several years, but I finally saw the wisdom of Her Royal
Orangeness and ordered a bottle of Conway Stewart Orange and a bottle of
Noodler's-made-for-Swisher's Apricot Orange today.
Which prompts this survey:
What is/are your favorite orange ink(s) and why?

Speaking of buying more pens... by
Bluesea[_3_]
Swisher received the last of the modified Kaweco Sport Ice ED fps. After
they're gone, there won't be anymore. I got mine and while the standard
short cartridge holds about .5 ml of ink, an ED holds about 2.5...

Change in pen behavior over one writing session? by
Aaron Hsu[_3_]
Hey all,
Writing about dip pens got me to thinking about a question I have had
for a while. I have a set of steel very flexible medium point steel dip
pens. They work great, but I notice that over time, when using Encre
Authentique, the behavior of the writing changes. That is, when I...

Pen advice needed.. by
Rainy
Hi, I want to get a nice new fountain pen. I've used lamy safari
before but then someone " borrowed " it. Last few years I've used
Rotring Core and I like it well enough. I like the fact that it has a
better ink flow than lamy but I liked lamy for having a more flexible
nib. Generally speaking I...

Starry Night FPN Ink Reviewed On FPN! by
The Drunken Lord[_2_]
A review with a scan is posted on FPN. While scans are often not
accurate, it is described as a blacker blue-black, which is what it
looks like on my screen. That may not be bad, and certainly, it would
be difficult for the FPN'ers to come up with an ink that looked
****tier than FPN Galileo or...

Update on an FPN Idiot's Thoughts on Baystate Blue! by
The Drunken Lord[_2_]
The last time we heard anything about the FPN idiot SamCapote in this
forum, he was whing about Baystate Blue "permanently" staining his
bathroom sink, though in the next sentence he typed that he had gotten
rid of the permanent stain with a lot of elbow grease and then he
tried to remove the stain...

New FPN Ink! by
The Drunken Lord[_2_]
The ****nuts of FPN have named this one, "Starry Night", after a van
Gogh painting. The last butt ugly ink they put out, "Tulip Noire",
had Alexander Dumas on the label--fitting for the dumbasses of FPN.
One of few inks I know of that is uglier than Tulip Noire is Galileo
Manuscript. They should...

Good memory? by
Donf
Hi All;
I was reading through the pop survey in June of 2004. What caught my
attention was the number of pens and the exact ink each had in it for
peoples pen rotation. Do pen people keep logs of pens with which ink
and on what type of paper, or unlike me do pen people just have good
memories? ...
