Old Dealer/Publisher Information Required by

I am doing some numismatic research at the moment and have come
across
a couple of handwritten letters on headed notepaper with the address
"Collectors Research Limited, PO Box 111, Montreal, Quebec". They
are
signed by someone called "John" and almost certainly date to around
the period...

Lincoln BIE collectors by

If anyone is still watching this group.
I'm looking for more information on the BIE Mint Oddity Collector's Guild. I would like to get in contact with anyone who was a member.
I'm working on a tribute to some of the pioneers in mint errors and varieties. There seems to be two in the LINCOLN Die...

From reading the article, rim damage seems prevalent. Personally, I don't like the obverse design. Liberty should look dignified. She looks...

JFK 2015 Coin & Chronicles Set by
Old Usenet User
Got on the Mint site at Noon Wednesday - system was a little slow and I
had to reload the page a few times during checkout but I got my order
for two in.
Notified that they were shipped today.
They apparently sold out because when I looked at the Mint site today,
they are on back order.
So,...

Accugrade photo slab by
oepepper[_2_]
I put up on ebay an old Accugrade slab containing a Kennedy, bicentennial half dollar. I got that as a sample way back in the early 80s at the Long Beach Expo. It contains a photo slabbed along with the coin. Sort of a combo photo grade and slab concept. Interesting phase of the slab development,...

2015 Coin & Currency Set by
Old Usenet User
Surprisingly, this didn't sell out immediately and as of this morning,
they are still available.
When I ordered on Monday at noon, the Mint website was SLOW, indicating
to me that there were quite a few souls ordering it.
At any rate, I got my order in and it was shipped the next day.

Don't Sue Me!!! by
Jud
I think it worthy of note that in the Feb 9 issue of Coin World, page 43, that there is a new 'CAC'-like sticker, called 'MACge (Modern Approved Coin Grade Enhancement). The will only accept PCGS and NGC graded coins.
One of the principles of this new company is Alan Hager. Remember him?

My grandparents owned a small grocery store in Keyes ca from the fifties thru 1985. special March of Dimes limited edition sets promptly at 9AM Pacific this
morning.
Previous attempts to order limited edition items have often required
tens of minutes for the Mint website to painstakingly crunch through the...
