Why undenominated stamps? by
Cloy
Can someone explain to me why the USPS would issue undenominated
stamps?
I reviewed www.usps.com, and they only thing I could find is a
statement that such stamps are typically issued when a rate change is
pending.
Isn't that the time when a person would WANT to know value of a stamp?
Thanks! ...

USPS Commemorative Stamp Yearbooks - Collectible value? by
[email protected]
I've got every one of the subject set going back to 1971. Not really
in this for the money, but in checking on E-bay I found most of the
books going for less than cost.
So...as a ignorant as I readily admit I am regarding philately, I
would like to pose this question: Would the philatelic value...

Black or clear mounts, Hawid or Showgard? by
John Mycroft
Hi, All
The subject says it all - I've got a collection needs re-mounting. Opinions etc please on whether the open top Hawid
mounts or split back Showgard / Scott are better as well as the relative merits of black and clear (most dealers seem to
stock only the black these days).
Cheers - John

Themes of stamp collections by
Alex P
There is a great number of various subjects of stamps (e.g. animals,
cars, sports, etc.). I wonder what the total number of such subjects
is and what is the most popular one. Furthermore, is there a
subject/theme that has not become a stamp subject?

Value of Stamps? by

Value of Stamps?
----------------
Greetings,
I'm a newbie, have read the FAQ, and have two questions for you experts
about the value of some stamps I have.
I'm asking here because years ago I was badly cheated by a stamp buyer
who paid me $150 for a sheet of 100 misprinted 50-cent stamps - and...

British Field Post Offices by
Richard Thouin[_2_]
Hi
I am trying to locate lists of British Field Post Offices in WWI and
WWII. No luck Googling. Is there such a list on the net? A pricing or
rarity index would also be useful.
Is there only one set of numbers or do the Army, Navy and Air Forces
each have their own set?
If there is no...

OT - saving images by

I frequently copy stamp images from websites and save them to folders
in My Documents.
I have the option of saving as GIF, JPEG or Windows Bitmap. Which of
the three is the preferrred way to go.
What about saving in My Documents? Is there a better way?
Thanks,

They deserve a stamp by
Victor Manta
The folk singers Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel reunited this fall, twenty

I believe that the authors of unforgettable "El Condor Pasa", "The Sparrow",
and "The Sound of Silence" deserve a stamp, and this *before* they pass by.

Mint or used? by
Grandpa
I'm curious, as to whether you collect mint or used stamps for your
primary country(s)? I collect used mainly but do snag a few mint ones
here and there if the price is right.
