1940's Canadian stamps by
steve_PE
I have a few used 3 cent Prince Edward Island postal stamps from 1942/43 time frame. They are in decent condition. Are these worth anything? There are at least 3 different graphics used on them.
Thanks

Scott numbering system by
Ralphael1
Scott numbering system is about to send me to the funny farm where all
good wackos go.
Example: Catalog note after Scott 2597, "Nos. 2595-2597 also available
in strips spaced for use in affixing machines to service first day
covers."
In my opinion that is a coil strip and needs a number, Scott...

This seems to be happening to me constantly. Too constantly, perhaps. Susan

Tony here is some details on your cover.
(I do note you are becoming more focused on Travancore, this is to be
understood and expected, as collectors become more refined in their path)
I think CMS is combined Missionary Service, and Bishop Corfield was Church

Stamp history buffs by
Grandpa
I'm no historian by any stretch of the imagination but doing another
round of soaking tonight it dawned upon me how many different people
there are on US stamps. I ran across 2 names I've never heard of, and
I'm positive they'll not be the first I know nothing about, but....
Without looking them...

Curiosity Corner #139: Hidden in Canada by
Rodney
Here's a common old issue, that intrigued me when I was a kid.
http://groups.msn.com/Stamps/shoebox.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=533
But, did you know it has a date, micro printed in the design?
You can just make it out on my scan.
(apologies for the scan, an old scan of a duplicate)

Mass scanning of stamps question by
Bill P
I have a need to scan thousands of stamps.
I would like to place a few dozen on the scanner at a time, and then
have some software automatically ( if possible) separate the
individual stamps into separate image files. Does anyone know of the
name of such software?
Thanks In Advance

(RCSD) What Do You Do With Your Damaged Stamps? by

Hi there -
I used to keep them in a box until it was full, then offer them to an
artist for them to experiment on.
The returns from said mailings have been quite slim and I've sent out
quite a few useable items for this purpose.
During this last campaign - and probably for the foreseeable...
