Screwy Heritage Search Function. by
Byron L. Reed
Some time ago I set up a bunch of want list searches at Heritage's site. Using the rules
presented below:
Use accurate search words.
1. Date/mintmark combinations should be separated by dash (1909-S, 1883-CC, etc).
2. Grades should be prefixed by the appropriate prefix...

Poll question answered by

OK, HOW did Alan know?
Alan asked:
17. I own a Honduran coin.
I hadn't had time to check, but didn't think so. So why did I get one in
todays market money? How did Alan know to ask about this particular
coin? Honduras? Why that country coin, Alan? :-)))
Very strange to me, btw. This one is a 50...

1985-P FDR dime variant by
Harri Annala
Hopefully someone can help me out with this. Is this a well known and
obvious variant. I do not have acess to detailed literature on the Roosevelt
dime. Anyway, I have come across two circulated 1985-P dimes where the
mintmark "P" is aligned differently with relation to the date. On one the
"P" is...

Great Price On A Classy Nice Money Clip, For Those Of You Who Use One. by
MIckey
Not something I normally do to recommend things, But this is a deal. I
like to carry money clips for my folding money. I bid on a black and
gold clip for 5.95 last week. It came today, and for the price it is
very classy. Not only does it look expensive, the big thing is it
will hold tight to...

For the person who asked in the original thread:
Rainbow Morgans are usually caused by one of the following three
things:
1) Album Toning: Most old Wayte Raymond National albums had a high
sulpher content and caused the silver coins to get this great color
that starts at the rim and extends...

My oldest Junque box find by
Scottishmoney
This morning on a trip to central Michigan I stopped in a coin shop I had
heard about but never visited, the dealer had a huge junk box filled with
coins which he was selling by the pound. I found numerous XF British
pennies and Danish Ore coins from the 19th century in the box which in
itself...

Better than a bank by
Jason Ditz
I know a lot of you guys like to go buy rolls of coins at the bank,
but have any of you ever tried casinos?
Its amazing the sort of things people will spend in a slot machine. I
spent an enjoyable day at the nearby casino here just putting a $50 in
a 50 cent machine, cashing out, searching the...

Private Collection by

Well, I finally broke down and bought an Accented Hair 1964 Kennedy graded by PCGS as PR69. 1 of only 35 certified at that grade with none higher. I've been mulling it over for some time as I am in the process of putting together a complete Kennedy PCGS PR69 DCAM set (with the exception of the few...

What seems like a blessing... by
Paul
One of the tellers at my favorite bank called me over, quite excited.
"Hey, Paul, look what an old lady brought in the other day! She said they
were her husband's."
He shows me three rolls labeled UNC Bicentennial Kennedy Halves, in plastic
tubes, as she brought them in.
"Cool!", I say, and he...
