Parker 61 by
[email protected]
Hi people,
I have just received a Parker 61 which I bought on Ebay. It uses a
cappilerry filler which happens to be a nifty way of filling the pen
with ink. One problem.Since the pen has no moving parts how does one
flush and clean the pen? I have a large collection of pens, mostly
modern. This is...

Yard-O-Led Hallmarks and History by
Rob
I am considering buying some vintage Yard-O-Led's and have been trying
to locate a web site or publication that descirbes history of their
manufacture and what the various hallmarks on the vintage pens mean.
So far, I have found nothing. Can anyone help me out with a ponter?
Thanks,

D. C. SuperShow Photos by
Chuck Swisher
Hello,
Just wanted to say thanks to Bob Johnson for putting on another Great Show
and already looking forward to the next one. It was great seeing so many of
you at the show and my only regret is that there was very little time to
just sit around and talk. I also want to thank all of you that...

Some exciting News to pass on . . . by
Penstop
Now that the D.C. Show is behind us it is time to look ahead toward the New
York City Pen Show and what is happening there.
There is so much I don't know where to start. We have first time exhibitors
from Spain, who produce their own brand of pens, and whose customers are
part of an elite club....

New user Q: Lots of ink on tines by
[email protected]
I'm a new FP user. I got 2 Lamy safaris one Med and one Bold. (2 more
on the way). The bold is using a cartridge and the Med is using a
converter with Noodler's Black.
Is it normal to have a thick line (~2mm) of ink on the face of the
tines? The bold pen has no ink on the face, but I have a...

Porous Point Pen by
Sleehrat
Help. I just learned that my beloved Hardhead Flair pen is no longer
in production! This is almost as devastating as when Sanford
discontinued the old Expresso pens in favor of the new gaudy looking
Liquid Expresso.
So, my question has 2 parts. 1) anyone know of a good hard-point
porous pen...

Cleaning up by
[email protected]
I recently bought a new Cross Verve Merlot and carried proudly in my
pocket only to realize a bit later that the cap had shaken loose. I
have had this happen with many of my pens much to the consternation to
my wallet and my wife. Unlike previous attempts at cleaning large ink
stains and having...

Pen leaked---did I do something wrong? by
Lot-o-fun
I just bought a Sheaffer Triumph Imperial pen that can work with
cartridge or converter. I put a cartridge in the pen a few days ago
and have been trying it out. This morning, I picked up the pen from
the table where it had sat on its side overnight. I pulled off the cap
and discovered that ink...

A 51 nib for Sanskrit? It can be done. by
Noodler
OK, this time there is an attempted writing demo page. This shows
"before" and "after" photos of a Parker 51 retipped as a harpoon/Sanskrit
style nib (a one of a kind, as nearly every harpoon tip in the past has been
requested for sheaffer balance and touchdown admirals!). It writes razor
fine on...

NEED TWO INCH INK CARTRIDGE by
[email protected]
Hi: I am looking for those clear plastic ink reservoirs that fit the
Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph tachnical pens and they need to be TWO INCHES in
length. I hate those 3/4" ones that originally come with the pens as
you are constantly having to refill...especially if you draw alot. If
anyone has any of...

Sheaffer Imperial vs Triumph Imperial---how to tell the difference? by
Lot-o-fun
I just bought a pen on eBay that was listed as a Sheaffer Imperial. On
receiving the pen and looking closer, I think it's a Triumph Imperial
(late 90s, as opposed to the earlier 60s-70s Imperial). How can I tell
the difference for sure? The pen has a black barrel, brushed stainless
steel top,...
