Kit Pens .... by William Lee
There is a fellow that is making some nice pens from kits. Here is a link to his eBay auctions. http://tinyurl.com/2tbre I think he is taking the "kit" pen one step farther and is making some very nice pens that might appeal to "real" pen users. He starts with some quality "kits" and eliminates...

Levenger Infinity Journal? by KCat
Anyone tried these with PR and similar inks? I don't care about the leather binding but 30 bucks for 600 pages is a pretty good deal *if* the paper will hold up to my dark and dense inks. I don't usually care for that sort of binding but... posting this everywhere (well, 3 forums) TIA, kcat

Noodler's "Orange" - for Ms. Satrap especially by KCat
It *looks* like Noodler's Habanero might be very similar in intensity and shade to Orange Crush. Though I don't know for certain but I've got a question in to Sam to get her opinion. -- I am not a Lupus/Fountain Pen Expert. I am not a Medical Doctor. I do not make my living in medicine or in...

Hi, I'm trying to id a Parker 51 a recently bought on a estate sale. It has a dark blue body and a gold cap. There are no writings on the body of the pen. The filler seems to be a converter type inside the pen with the following written on it: PARKER "51"

Sheaffer Balance Broken Cap by Andy
The lower portion of the cap of my Sheaffer Balance just separated from the top of the cap (between the two rings). Sheaffer does offer a lifetime guarantee, but it seems like a simple repair that I might do myself. Any recommendations about type of glue, etc. or would I be better off sending it...

Pen buyers ... by William Lee
It would seem that there are many dstinct factors involving what makes a person want a pen. I think two best discribe most pen buyers. 1) The Feel. If you close your eyes and write with a pen you know right away if you like the feel and balance of that Pen. You like the way it feels in your...

Please accept my apology! by William Lee
Wow .. wish all spam was that easy to stop. I must get 100 emails a day for prescription drugs or some miracle pill to enlarge myself. Do you people think I really want those ads emailed to me? Why do they hide the content with some obscure subject line? Do they really think they can fool me into...

Everyman Notebook by Woodshifter
The Everyman notebooks I ordered came today. I was so eager to get them that I had them sent express. I paid twice as much for the shipping than I did for the notebooks themselves. That's no one's fault, of course, but it just makes me even more disappointed in them. First, these things are big...

Saturated Inks by Woodshifter
I've just ordered a 1930's Waterman from Andy's Pens (http://www.andys-pens.ukhome.net/wa066.shtml), and when I asked him what sort of ink he'd recommend using in it, he said anything that wasn't saturated. I've done a bit of googling on saturated inks, and have read Richard Binder's very...

Whom do you trust? by Curtis L. Russell
I'm not expert in older pens, but want to add several more to the pens I have. If you were purchasing an older Sheaffer or Parker, primarily for writing, who are the dealers that you trust to provide a decent value and a reliably reported quality pen, preferably in the U.S.? I'm not looking for the...

I did it, Ms. Satrap! by KCat
I put Orange Crush in my Rotring 1.9 mm artpen. Just 'cause I didn't have anything else to put it in. I might have to find a Core just to have a pen that suits it. And try to track down more of the ink. I was shocked. I *liked* it. -- I am not a Lupus/Fountain Pen Expert. I am not a Medical...
