RIP Fleer? by
Scott Henrichs
I see over on the Beckett boards it sounds as though Fleer is closing
shop and going the way of Pacific. If its true, I'm ok with it,
there's wayyyy too much stuff out there and Fleer didn't produce too
much good stuff to begin with over the past few years. Topps and D/P
are still my favorite...

Going to the National - got questions by
Scott Henrichs
So I assume there's at least a few lurkers out there that have been to
the National before. I'm headed to my first ever, driving out to
Cleveland next week. Anyone actually pay the exorbant amount of money
they charge for autographs there? I'm going just for the show. How's
the prices on...

LeBron: Sell or Hold? by
Scott Henrichs
Pulled one of my best cards ever recently, a Hardcourt RC of Lebron #'d
to 799.
Think it should be sold right away while the hype is fresh, or wait till
a little later this season when he's hopefully a little more mature and
putting up better numbers and the NBA season isn't competing...

Fleer NPNs by
Scott Henrichs
Got my first ever Fleer NPNs today (you'll notice that Fleer, UD, and
Playoff have joined Topps in the NPN circuit, and Fleer has no limits
unlike Topps has gone to). Took exactly 1 month to get them, pretty
short turnaround.

Look at this eBay Scum by
Scott Henrichs
http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=lucamax%40aol.com
Proof that a high feedback means nothing. Guy is over 4000 rating and
still is stealing money. Brother bought $25 worth of cards from him and
never heard a peep from the guy, won't respond to emails...

Topps American Treasures by
Scott Henrichs
I know this group has been dying lately, but I'm surprised no one's
mentioned these. Talk about high priced insert sets, this is by far the
pricest ever. All 1 of 1 auto's of the presidents. So far, only two
have been on eBay, Jefferson (who is probably going to be the 3rd
priciest) and...

In March, police said they stopped Portland Trailblazer Qyntel Woods and

Hi

It was a sci-fi horror story album with collectable stickers.
One of the stories contained a robot monster, the others include a

1961 Topps Wrapper Variations by
Ron B.
Here's an eBay auction for six different kinds of 1961 Topps wrappers:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5160791335
The auction has ended. I considered bidding on it, but decided
against it at the last minute. Probably would have kept one and sold
the others to get my...

1960 World Series PhotoJam by
Ron B.
Here's a 1960 world series PhotoJam, that was made using vintage
baseball cards. I posted this once before about a year ago. I
wouldn't recommend watching it unless you have cable or DSL. But it's
one of my favorites.

1963 Fleer Baseball Set by
Ron B.
Hey group,
This post is a combination of an observation, a logic deduction, and a
couple related questions.
The observation is that the 1963 Fleer Baseball set is sorted first by
the league name, then by the team city name, then by the player's last
name. But there's an exception (or anomaly) to...

PhotoJam by
Ron B.
I could be mistaken, but I thought a couple folks might enjoy watching
a baseball card PhotoJam I put together today. Borrowed most of the
images from eBay. It has cards from 1887 through 1969, with an
emphasis on the 1950s and 1960s. It comes with music, so you might
want to turn on your...

Interesting . . . by
Ron B.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2749170314
Probably a scam. Zero feedback and a private auction. But the
starting bid is low enough for someone to take a chance, and the
seller knows it.
Think I'll watch the auction to see how many people bid, and what the
final price is.

Lou Piniella, perennial rookie by
Ron B.
I'm not sure who holds the record for having the most Topps rookie

contender. He had rookie cards in 1964, 1968, and...
