I have this 1906 postcard that seems to commemorate an alliance between Austria, Germany and Russia. Just wondering what it says and possibly what the writing translates to. It is postmarked in all three countries and looks to be addressed to...

Hi, The users of this group have always been a font of knowledge, so I thought I'd tap your collective brainpower again. This time I have a few mysteries I want to solve. First -- just an FYI. I run www.aidsonstamps.com. It's a site about, you guessed it, AIDS/HIV on stamps. These questions...

US engraved stamps produced by Epikos by Dominique Stéphan
Hi, I've seen mention on the web of the usage of an Epikos system to produce engraved stamps. I'm interrested in all informations about this press. Are the plates/cylinder engraved by laser-engraving (I've found a patent about that from Epikos Tech).

Thrace Interalliee by amesh \(Mette\)
In a shoebox-lot I have found this stamp: http://shoebox.heindorffhus.dk/shoebox-ThraceInteralliee.jpg It is obviously a Bulgarian stamp (Tsarstvo Bulgariya), and shows probably Tsar Boris III. What intrigues me is the overprint "Thrace Interalliee". Apparently issued 1918, it must have...

Who is fooling whom on the illegal stamps issues? by Victor Manta
In a new article I publish an interview with the new leader of the WADP, and then I present the results of a survey of illegal stamp issues, originated in Burundi, that contradicts WADP leader's optimistic assertions. The weaknesses of the over ten years long approach of the WADP and the UPU...

Q: Paste-Up Pairs of Coil Stamps by TL
I don't know if this is strictly a US question. I have a number of paste-up pairs, specifically US Sc# 458 (hinged), 457 (hinged) and 394 Mint, plate #5424 with APS Cert. I'm evaluating these and am wondering if what sort of premium is attached to them. Scott's doesn't go into the values of...
