Ahh - that's better! by David F.
I have finally had enough of the insane rantings of the regular Spammers here, and reached for the 'plonk' button. It's a lot quieter and more civilised now! For the benefit of those here who have not done this yet, it is very easy, and afterwards you never see any of the offending posts from...

eBay ... oopS !!! by David F.
Claims dated 6th May 1840, then says it's Plate 7 "EB". Plate 7 wasn't even at press until 26 June 1840. IMHO, does look like plate 7 per the portion of the "A" row stamp miscut and remaining. You just can't trust these 'amateurs'!

Does Stamphead work for you by David F.
Hi everyone, At the risk of 'promoting' a site.... I just had a tour at Stamphead.com and found it to be a very interesting Website - quite an alternative to the usual Ebay and QXL etc. It all looks very well thought out to me! It has now grown to a very reasonable size, and has...

Stamphead - ratings? by David F.
I paid a serious visit to Stamphead last night. I like it very much, in fact I would change over from QXL tomorrow, apart from two things... There don't seem to be many visitors or bids on the existing Auctions! So even though it's all 'free', there is little chance of selling on a regular basis.

London Hexagon Pmks. by David F.
I have won a GB QV stamp on Ebay with hexagonal postmark, dated "JA30 82". It shows a value of 3D - actually printed on the top line of the postmark. It is on an 1881 3-penny Rose stamp, type SG.158, Plate 21. I have found 2 other examples (poor) of this hexagonal postmark in my albums. One on
