Parker 51 ink by
Michael and Monica Pantano
It was fast drying and also a lot more saturated with color than other
contemporary inks. In actual fact, it was problematic for, I suppose,
other reasons, too and was eventually discontinued. It was, in many
ways, a lot like the modern Penman .... with similar problems.
Stick with good old Scrip...

Superstrong Aurora by
zippy
I had a potentially horrifying moment this morning in court. While I was doing an interview at the top of a second-floor staircase, the cap on my Aurora Talentum slipped off the pen and sailed over the railing. In the same kind of slow motion that happens during car crashes, I watched my cap fall...

Pelikan 300 dimensions? by
Pahoo
Having a hard time finding the specs on the P 300. It seems that pen dealer
web sites I have visited, don't think dimensions are too important. This
newbie get a bit frustrated trying to get pen dimensions in general. I
prefer slim girth pens, which seems to be a problem to begin with.
Any help...

Great prices on some hard to find moderns... by
BLandolf
I'd like to clear out the pens remaining on my web site, so I'm
reducing my prices an additional 15% (a Delta
Pompei and a Visconti Michelangelo for less than $600 is a great
deal). Pen pics and descriptions can be viewed he

Kipling, Nibs, Stylos, and Geyser-pens by
Scaupaug
In
| Lahore for my /Plain Tales/ I used a slim, octagonal-sided,

Ah, the bizness opportunities as the Boomer Generation

Glad you found a pen you're happy with, but many of the modern pens are
decent, and many do stink. I've owned fountain pens for only a few years
now and all of mine are modern.
The good to great pens...

OT- (semi) attn: Fred Knife/pen outlet Nakaya by
Pahoo
Fred, if you are out there, I just learned that you are also into fountain
pens. I am a rec.knives follower and have been lurking/posting here for a
short time.
I saw a comment you made on the expensive, custom made Nakaya pens. Went
to their site and was impressed. These gentlemen remind me...

ID Help Please On A Sheaffer Pen by
Jim Mamoulides
Fellow Collectors,
I'm trying to ID the Sheaffer cartridge pen in the picture link below.
It's one of the many NoNonsense siblings, but this one has a chased
plastic cap and barrel and all gold plate appointments, including the
nib. Quite nice, actually. I think the name is "Heritage", but...

Slightly OT - calling Toronto by
Karen Traviss
If anyone here is going to be at Worldcon in Toronto August 28 - Sept 1, do
flag me down and say hi. I'll be accompanied by my comfort pens. (If you're
going, you know what this is, so no explanation here to bore non-SF/F
folks.)
I've packed my flashlight :-)
Cheers

Safe ink for Pelikan by
Messer
hi
I recently bougth Pelikan 250 pen, I really enjoy it and I want to
keep it in good condition a long a possible but I heard that some inks
can stain the Pelikans' tranparent "window". Pelikan itself says that
the most suitable ink for their pen is their "4001" (what else could
