New Years Contest!!!
I've been a frequent lurker, learning as I go, and an occasional poster. To
thank ya'll for the stimulating and sometimes non-PC discussions (which I
love) I have come up with the following contest.

RCC Swap Feedback by
Chuck Miller
I received my trade yesterday and my trading partner.
George in Arizona sent me a "cooked" New York Statehood Quater by Ed that
has beautiful coloring. He also sent a real nice 1949 Franklin Half that
will fit nicely into my book and a misstruck 1999 Lincoln cent that is off
center by about 50%....

No Gloves? by
Ron
Bobby Shaw's post of the mis-handled SAE made me remember something I
noticed at NGC's site:
http://ngccoin.com/grading/grading2.asp
Is it just me or does it seem a little strange that when grading, the
grader would not wear gloves? Am I just way too careful? When I
handle anything other than...

2004-P doubled die commemorative nickel by
JSTONE9352
This does not seem to be generating much buzz but not for lack
of trying in NN and CW.
Full page ad on the back page of Dec. 28. NN offering them
for $295 each. I don't know about you but I don't find this doubling
to be at all impressive. From the ad "millions of potential eager
collectors...

1879 Morgan Silver Dollar by
[email protected]
I have an 1879 Morgan Silver Dollar with an "L" stamped on the eagle's
breast. Is this worth anything more than a normal Morgan...in very good
condition.
Thanks
Mike

Two Cent Piece Enhancement? by
Larry Louks
A couple of years ago, I bought a high grade two cent piece and gave it to
my son as a gift. It looked like it might have been "treated" with something
that made it easier to see than most other deuces that I've seen. (You know
what I mean -- when dark brown , the detail is somewhat difficult to...

Is this all? by
Fred A. Murphy
EbAy has announced dime listing day for FPL and Auctions. Save from 20¢ to
$9.60 per listing.
This is a considerable savings, but hardly the same thing as a FLD
anticipated for Dec. 30..
By the same token, maybe ebaY feels there are entirely too many people
saving up for a FLD, and just plain...
