Bruno Pens by
Ron Wilbanks
Has anyone here ever had any experience with Bruno Pens from Italy? Today,
I was surfing the Web and came across some rather colorful "Kosmos" fountain
pens made in Italy by Bruno: http://www.tryphon.it/pens/bruno/
Has anyone had any experiences both pro and con with this manufacturer?
Their...

pens that write upside down by
[email protected]
To my surprise the bic crystal pen won't write when held less than
horizontal. I could perhaps use pencils, but I'd like to ask you, how
can i make a bic pen write upside down, or what other cheap pens would?

Fountain pen used as a lethal weapon in road rage incident by
Ron Wilbanks
While surfing the Web I ran across this interesting story:
HELD FOR ATTACKING WITH FOUNTAIN PEN
Frank Sawallich, 27, Monday was held on a charge of assault to do great
bodily harm. Walter Reedy 22, who preferred the charge, said Sawallich
attacked him with a fountain pen and stabbed him three...

permanent ink versus washable ink by
[email protected]
I bought cartridges yesterday and saw that I had a choice between
permanent and watshable ink. Now for me it was an easy choice; I wanted
permanent because I didn't want my writing washed off if caught in a
sudden splash of rain.
Now, maybe I'm missing something, but why would anyone want...

Penspiration by

Please note: Penspiration is in a time of transition. Janie and I are
in the midst of a divorce. I can say no more than that as I know that
this forum is being monitored. Efforts are being made to take care of
orders and deal with all of the issues that go along with such a life
transition. You'll...

Pop Survey by
Bluesea
Once again, lightning's struck with another topic for the mostly irregular
Pop Survey. This month (and pro'lly the next since it's the end of May), the
question is...
How many pens...AWK! This is a.c.p-p! What was I thinking?!...I mean,
How many *fountain pens* do you own?

Noodler's Blue question by
*david*
Hi everybody
I have a bottle of (according to the label) Noodler's Blue. It's
well-behaved ink, but I'm starting to wonder if I got a mis-labeled
bottle. What I have is very turquoise-y - it reminds me of the old
Sheaffer Peacock Blue. I was expecting to get a more standard blue
shade from an ink...

section cement for vintage pens. by
zot
Somewhere I remember that factories used orange shellac to cement
sections to barrels and some used a 50/50 mixture of rosin and beeswax.
Does anyone know the exact rosin/beeswax recipe?

Pop Survey (yes, another one) by
Bluesea
Do you have an inventory of your good pens and pencils?
If yes...
Is it on paper or computer?
What type of data do you include?
If it's on computer, which software do you use?

Blessed are those who write with pen and paper by
[email protected]
Had two writing sessions with a pen and paper so far, exceeding my
expectations; far better than writing on a computer... in the first
session I wrote 8 pages in just over an hour, in the second, not
counted yet, but at least as much or even more considering I wrote for
just over two hours, both...

How much ink in the short international cartrdiges? by
[email protected]
I'm having the impression it's cheaper per ink to buy short
international cartridges (SIC) than bottle ink. Am I wrong?
For the price of a the standard 57ml Parker Quick bottle I can get 180
SICs in black, or 300 SICs in blue. There must be more than 1ml in a
SIC, right?
