Question on Dollar coins by Bob-tx
This is not a collecting question, but I am curious. Since our folding money says, "Federal Reserve Note", are dollar coins and for that matter all currently modern coins controlled by the Red Reserve? Bob-tx

I found this item at an old boy scout camp. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?40,1221224 Is it real? If not why both sides of coin stamped? What was it used for. I think there were two of then. A obverse and the reverse. Thanks for your time! Jim --

Texas Coin Show in Grapevine by Alan Bruns
I went to the show at the Grapevine Convention Center today. (Grapevine is just at the northwest corner of DFW airport, so it's pretty central to the DFW area and only about 10 miles from my home.) I got there at about 9:20am, 20 minutes after they opened the place. The main parking lot was...

Unloading off-beat silver ingots by george pearl
Hiya, I own some silver one-ounce rounds that were issued by silver companies back in the 1970's. I don't even know if they are still in business. They are clearly marked .999 fine and look presentable. Am I going to have an easy time getting rid of them?

From a Clark Howard newsletter May 27, 2010 -- Don't accept or carry anything larger than a $20 bill RIP-OFF ALERT: Clark has a rule: He never carries anything larger than a $20 bill. Why? Because bills larger than that have a much higher chance of being counterfeit. The Los Angeles Times...

2010 Lincoln Cents by Chuck Miller
On a recent trip to Rogers Ark. I found 2010 P Cents at one of the banks there. I bought $10.00 worth and they gave me one of the older boxes they store them in. Bringing them home on the Plane was more fun--my wife's carry on was lighter than mine so I stashed them way at the bottom and the...
