Publishing date again by
Guess I didn't phrase the question correctly.
A first printing would be described as "first printing, published 1990"
A 10th printing would be described as "Tenth printing, published ?" or can
one only say "Tenth printing, copyright 1990"?

Looking for Konemann's Culinaria series cookbooks by
[email protected]
I collect international cookbooks, and I think that Konemann's
Culinaria series are among the best. They're also impossible to find,
either in English or in the original German. Does anyone know why?
Are they no longer being printed? Most books in the series seem to
have been published in the...

Can anyone recommend any fiction set in the world of book collecting?
I have read the Cliff Janeway books by John Dunning and Like a Hole in

Publishing date by
If a first printing of a book is published in 1990, can a publication date
of, say, the 10th printing be accurately stated, or is it more proper to
just describe the book as "copyright 1990"?

questions about book value by
Wire
I have a rather unusual book, a copy of Thomas Hardy's Return of the Native
signed by the author (not by the illustrator). I have tried to find a
valuation for this book but have had no luck. The provenance is good, Hardy
autographed it for my Aunt in England before WW II. The volume...

OUTSIDER or BTWOS: which is harder to find? by
Charles Cunningham
Dear Horror/HPL Fans:
I have been watching ebay for several months for decent(not
ex-library) copies of HPL's THE OUTSIDER and BEYOND THE WALL OF SLEEP.
While several copies of BTWOS have come up for sale, I have yet to see
a copy of THE OUTSIDER.
Is this an indication of rarity? Is OUTSIDER that...
