New Denver Mint 100th Anniversary Medal by dcarr
Greetings Everybody, As you may know, the Denver Mint recently observed their 100th Anniversary with a relatively-short ceremony. Why they didn't see fit to issue a commemorative coin or medal for this milestone is unknown. Over a year ago I wrote to Congress, the US Mint, and Coin World...

Ben's Ship Date Pushed Out by ronrpk
Just checked the ship date for the Franklin commemoratives. My date is now showing 4/30 for every item (ordered 2 of each). When I looked a few days ago it was 4/15. Not a good sign. Anyone have a better date than 4/30? -- Ron K

OT Question about your website by Dale Hallmark
I have a guestbook feature in my website. In the entry form I have a place where the visitor can leave a http address for their website if they have one. Lately I have been getting a lot of fake entries. Thinly disguised as real but the user name and website link makes it obvious that it is an...

Plantchet vs Planchet by Byron L. Reed
Thought you might appreciate this from the medieval coinmakers: --------- Here is a scan of the next token I need for my Peers and Peopns game. The Peer token. I'm really proud of the laurel wreath. The Northshield star is pretty good too. Now that the die turned out so good, I'm disappointed...

Mint set delema by Greg Shilts
I have a 1960 mint set in which the plastic is still sealed however the seal between the individual pockets are broken allowing the coins to slide into and on top of each other. I hesitate to break the seal open and place the coins in a plastic holder but don't want them to get scratched up....

1893-S Morgan wannabes again by [email protected]
The 1893-S Morgan looks the same to me in both of these auctions. To make it worse, the coin looks like an altered date (and harshly cleaned). What do the other Morgan folks think about the looks of...

What are sellers thinking? by ... -.-
I have been looking for a 1880 CC PCGS MS 65-66 for some 5 months now. The prices I have seen have been very high to unreasonable. Interestingly enough, none are selling at these lofty prices (well at least on ebay and the dealers I have been checking). One dealer here in Seattle has had a MS 65...
