Cleaning coins by
Jim Wild
I just saw the post below about cleaning coins. I have just started
collecting Lincoln cents. What does that do for the hobby? If I clean my
coins gently, does that decrese thier value? Or does it make the
collectoin look phony? I would like them to be shinny. but do not want
to make them look...

Oregon Quarter Designs by
Scottishmoney
Posted on an Oregon newspapers site, I like the first, but it is too much
like the one used for the Oregon Trail Commems. So then I settle for the 5
and 6 designs, since the fargin mint sent me my catalog with the Salmon
Medals after they had sold out already.

2004 Half Dollars by
Edward McGrath
In your opinions is the 2004 Half Dollar rolls worth buying from the
Mint? I've bought the low Mintage 2002 halfs and I bought the 2003 half
dollar rolls in the spring that I heard were not low mintage because the
mint produced more of them in the fall. TIA for your opinions. Ed

2003 Proof Set packaging error? by
John Patrick
A local dealer here has a nice 2003 quarters proof set where
there are TWO Arkansas quarters, and it's missing a Maine.
I proposed that it was an after-mint error. He claims he
got it from the Mint like that.
Any ideas on how to check if it's a Mint error?

1890-S PCGS MS-65 Morgan in an old green label slab. Internet research

my safe since 1993 when I stopped collecting Morgans. (I've decided to
liquidate my collection to move into other collecting areas.}
This coin shows a...

Grading Services Questions by
Chris

I'm seeing. Am I correct in my belief that PCGS is the strictest/most
conservative? Can anyone fill me in on the how the other services rank in
relation to PCGS? I've seen the following names thrown about alot: NGC,
ICG,...

What should I do with this mint bag, 1992 D cents by
Wes Chormicle
I have a mint bag of 1992 D lincolns. I opened it in 1992 looking for
blanks and off center strikes. Nothing found.... It's been sitting
undisturbed for 12 years (you should see my office...)
Should I try to cherry pick MS-68+'s out for PCGS, sell them by the roll, or
sell the whole bag? What...
