Oxfam by
John Yamamoto-Wilson
I'll just say this clearly in a new thread (partly because of problems with
the "wrapping" of text when responding to Michael Adams's posting - perhaps
he would be kind enough to tweak whatever needs to be tweaked so this
doesn't happen again - partly because I buried my main conclusions at...

Where can I find a bibliography for this author? I suddenly have five
of his books in my collection; probably a good idea to complete it
now.

Watching with some amusement: Abe dealers and their pricing! by
Tom
A few months ago I found a paperback copy of George Robert Elford's
Kizilkar: Red Snow for 89p
I subsequently sold said book on eBay, for £75, which seemed very high to
me!
The purchaser was a relatively small abe dealer - to my amusement I found
that he had listed it Circa £575 - as the sole...

With An Account of his Life and Character", published in Perth,
Scotland, 1813. Printed by R. Morison. The book is complete, but front
cover and a few pages not attached. I would appreciate advice on

leather book care/restoration by
Greg
Is there a recommended method of care for new, leather bound books?
Also, wondering if there may be a product for restoring dry and faded
leather bindings?
Thanks.

Very Strange Book by
diane.walker
Hi again
I have just bought a copy of The Dark Half by Stephen King in my local Oxfam
shop, nothing strange in that you might be thinking. When I got it home I
took the dust jacket off, and found to my surprise a half leather binding
with marbled outer boards, five raised bands to the spine with...

Points by
Bud Webster
Okay, I'm getting mixed answers, so I'm turning to the people to whom
I should of have asked in the first damn place: you guys.
1. _Game of Thrones_ - is the US the first, or the UK?
2. Neal Stephenson. What are the points for _Cryptonomicon_ and _The
Diamond Age_? Anything special, or do the...

Charity/Thrift Shops was Charles Dickens autograph by
Giltedge04
But why should libraries or thrift stores, have to pay for their stock
"like the rest of us "? If individuals feel that libraries and
charities (which run thrift stores in the UK at least)
I agree, why should charity/thrift stores give away valuable items to dealers
so they can make a fast buck...

Howdy!
I have several hundred paperback, hardcover and several thousand comic
