Tricking Spammers by A.E. Gelat
Here is an idea for tricking spammers, especially those from Nigeria, etc. Open a bank account, but put no money in it. Then respond to that million-dollar offer by giving the spammer its number, etc. When he bites, get the details of his instructions and pass them on to the FBI and...

Paper Money by A.E. Gelat
There are many postings in this newsgroup about paper money. There is a dedicated newsgroup for that: rec.collecting.paper-money. The coin newsgroup is often gets more than 300 posting a day., and it is rather unwieldy. By using the proper newsgroup for paper money, this number could be reduced...

New Idea for US coins by A.E. Gelat
I would like to float this idea for new US coinage. The denominations would be 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 cent and $1 and $2 coins. The 1 to 25 centers would be similar to what we have now, with occasional changes in design, but without all the congressionally-mandated slogans (E Pluribus Unum, etc.). ...

Gold Sacagawea by A.E. Gelat
An article in today's Houston Chronicle mentioned that some workers in the refinery area were rewarded by a gold Sacagawea. Is there such a thing? If not, it is a cruel joke. Tony ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1...

OT - Funky imagery on some not-so-old scrip by A.Gent
Please excuse the OT nature of this, but its not all *that* removed from the imagery of coins. I just bought a 1961 stock certificate for the Studebaker-Packard corporation, and just *have* to share the funky vignette on the top of the scrip. Some scans at: http://mendosus.com/sp.html Picture it:
