New style $10 bill with series 2004 by
[email protected]
I got one of the new $10 bills in change on thursday or friday, and was
a little surprised to see
that it has a series of 2004 A. All of the security features look
correct -- the color changing ink,
etc. I thought that the series was the year the bill was printed.
Have they been printing...

PING: A question about counterfeit ID marker pens & old currency. by
Blondie
Hello All,
Yesterday I got a 1950 series $10.00 bill passed to me in a transaction at
a convenience store. I didn't know I had it until I tried to buy something
later that evening at a fast food restaurant. I noticed the cashier
scrutinizing it and then she checked it (marked it) with one of...

New Treasury Secretary?? by
twodollarnote
The rumors are abounding that Snow will be out soon (probably when somebody
has the guts to say Yes to George W. Bush). Assuming it occurs this year,
that would mean a new Series 2006 currency for the older money ($1, $2, $5,
$100) and possibly for the New Color series ($10, $20, $50). 2003A...

Spending a $1000 bill by
Bob
Year ago I used to work for a guy who was quite wealthy. He disliked
credit cards, so often carried a lot of cash. One day we got to
talking and I told him I dabbled in paper money collecting. He says,
"Well, I've got something to show you." He pulls out his wallet and
inside this hidden...

Taking it too far. by
note.boy
He has gone too far with his copyright/counterfeit worries.
I've only seen one other ebay seller of Scottish note taking these
precautions, a bit unnecessary as there are hundreds of Scottish notes
listed without anti copy alterations. ...

Canadian Deuce Bill by
Amistad
A friend of mine at work brought some stuff for me to look at today. I
looked it over for her and found nothing that I would say was worth much
more than face value. However, one bill that looked to be in very nice
condition was a Canadian Two Dollar Bill. It had the date of "Ottawa 2nd
January,...
