Ebay or Proper Auction? by
Diane
Lately I've been placing some of my scarcer titles for auction at Bloomsbury
Book Auctions in London. I have looked back over my sales of similar books
on ebay and found that even after all the extra charges incurred when using
Bloomsbury, the higher prices obtained there make it a much better...

Hope this isn't an inappropriate posting, but you folks are the most
likely source for this info!
I've been looking for a hardcover copy of Robert McCammon's 'Swan
Song' for some time. Since the original release of this book was
paperback, and only a single hardcover printing was done...

Milwaukee Book News.... by
Jbrodie1750
Milwaukee has lost a fine book shop with the closing of "The Constant Reader"
on Irving Place. For over twenty years, David, the genial proprietor, bought
his books carefully and sold them fairly. Other stores in town with ten times
the amount of stock, seem to offer nothing. "The Constant...

The two Alice books FE points by
Mike Berro
A friend found some Lewis Carroll books when cleaning out his late
great-aunt's house in San Francisco. They were described to me over the
phone. The Sylvie and Bruno was definitely a first (I have one), but I don't
know about the Wonderland and Looking Glass.
One of them meets these...

Roger The Scout by
Diane
I have a book called "Roger The Scout". It's only worth a couple of pounds,
but I was wondering about what section I should place the book in on ebay.
Any suggestions. Also anyone else have any suspect titles in their
collections?

Beginner's Question by
Giovanni Roberto Ruffini
This is a really low-level terminology/vocabulary question. Please pardon
my ignorance. I have recently bought a few late 19th / early 20th century
books the pages of which are not separated from their sheets. In other
words, for instance, pages 1 & 2 are still physically connected to pages 3
& 4....

British Library Request by
Diane
I have been contacted by the British Library in regard to a book I'm selling
on ebay. They have requested that I remove it from auction so that they can
view the book with a option to buy for their collection. Being a greedy cow
I asked them what they would be prepared to pay for it. They say they...
