Nice guy walks in the shop today. by
Wes Chormicle
One of our regular "out of town" customers dropped by the shop Thursday.
Very nice guy, drops in about 3-4 times a year when he comes through town on
business. He has a very good eye for quality and doesn't try to buy PQ
better date coins on the cheap. He picked out some nice toned Morgan...

Coins of the Netherlands by
[email protected]
Who out there is good on coins from the Netherlands? I have a
co-worker who presented me with a silver piece about the size of a
Morgan dated 1932 and part of the inscription on the reverse (which I
assume is the coin's value) is 2 1/2 G. This piece also has a lettered
edge (pretty...

20TH Ann. SAE 3 coin set Question by
Wm Hopkins
Are these sets shipping already? I thought they weren't shipping until
December 8 (according to web and my receipt). I saw several that had been
graded (2-3 week turnaround?) for sale on eBay. What's up?
Thanks,
Bill

Franklin PCGS FBL or not? Look and decide by
steve edwards
Recently I bought two 1955 Franklins graded MS64 by PCGS.
One is designated FBL, the other is not. Even better, the serial
numbers
are sequential, which means (I guess) that they were graded one right
after the
other. I've posted pictures of the Bell Lines...

Phil was right! by
note.boy
It was even worse than vehicle confiscation and I think that it would sting
a fair bit.
Has this act ever been repealed? If not a few of us owe Phil an apology.
Are Reid and Nick willing to chip in with me to buy a large humble pie?...

US MINT is Reimbursing me for Shipping 2006 W 20th Ann. Gold & Silver Set by
?????
Many of you have sent back your sets due to the false claims by the US Mint
concerning the limited production of that set.
I have just got of the phone with the US Mint protesting the shipping costs
both to me and returning the sets to them. They are refunding my costs for
shipping both ways. ...

Primary source material. by
Byron L. Reed
An acquaintance has asked me for some primary source material about
the production methods of Spanish colonial cobs - either first-hand
period accounts or reasoned research. He is most interested in the
validity of the legend that the blanks were hacked off the end of a
bar with a chisel. True,...
