roller balls by
DaveW
Am I alone in that I have never, never been able to make a roller ball
pen work properly for very long?
They always seem to stop putting out ink in a very short order. Even
before that, they tend to either not flow fast enough or make blots and
feather.
I don not usually have such problems with...

Sheaffer Balance repair by
[email protected]
Greetings:
A while back I puchased a Sheaffer Millenium Lifetime Balance on
e-bay, I love the Feathertouch nib on these guys.
Alas, the cap broke within the first few days of my getting the pen.
I would like to contact Sheaffer to find out how to do this, but don't
have either the e-mail or the...

Pressurized refill experiences? by
Jeroen
Hi everyone,
I found a website which sells pressurized refills for my Parker and
Mont Blanc pens (among others) and I was wondering if anyone has any
experience with these? The pressurized refills come from the Fisher
space pen and they (should) work under any condition, at any angle,
etc. without...

Speaking of Noodler's ink: my own ink tests by
R. Paul Martin
I've been doing ink tests for decades. I'm less interested in
envelopes not getting smeared than I am in the things I write not
going away due to age or accident. So I was very interested in the
Noodler's ink. Here are the results of some ink tests I did with some
ordinary inks and Noodler's. For...

Parker 21, 51 cleaning? by
Jack Harrell
I picked up a Parker 21 super cheap (which, I understand, is not uncommon
with them) and a very nice Parker "51" for my wife. Couple of questions
about these pens:
1) Do you REALLY have to use only Superchrome ink or will modern inks work?
2) How do you flush these out and clean them up for new...

Rapidograph Stylograph Stylographic Inkgraph nib cleaning techniques by
Greeneyed
I have a few old stylographic pens that apparently didn't have enough
iridium in the metal tube to prevent corrosion. In one nib, the metal
feeding wire (or plunger) appears to be fused inside the tube. I'm
suspecting that there isn't much hope for that one. In another, it
looks like 1mm of...

How to tell Montblanc Replicas? by
Jack Harrell
I was wondering if anyone here could tell me of a surefire way to tell if a
pen is a real Montblanc or a replica? I just bought one that just doesn't
feel right. It has a Montblanc "refill" bp ink insert but I don't know if
that means anything. I figure they probably print refill on all their...
