And then there were ten... by
Bob Flaminio
Just back from Vegas, and two classic commems were waiting to greet me
(well, along with my wife and children, too, I guess): A Boone and an
Albany. The Boone was tougher to get than I expected, mostly because I'm
only looking for first-year commems only. There's lots of Boones out
there, but...

SBA differences by
Neill Clift [MSFT]
If you look at the star next to the I in America you see it touches
the eagles wing on the 1979. On the 1999 coin there is a gap.
I just found a 1979-S that has a small gap but not as big as that
on the 1999. Anyone noticed this before? Maybe my gap is
just a weak strike of the star.
Also the wide...

Got Buffalos? by
Dave Allured
This is about nickel rolls from the bank, not "collector wrap" rolls
from the US Mint. I picked up 5 rolls yesterday from a First Bank
branch in the Denver, Colo. area. Face value, of course.
The bank has been getting lots of customer calls about the new nickels.
My dear head teller was told...

My Collection from Heritage by
John N
Has anyone used the "My collection coin management" software from
Heritage? Is this just a ploy to find out about your coins and send
numerous requests for consignment or is it actually useful or both?
TIA, John N

2005 Proof Sets by
[email protected]
Hey all, I placed an order with the Mint for three sets of the Clad
2005 Proof Sets on the 3rd of March. Today I checked the status of the
order and they were shipped today! Not bad, I'm fairly impressed. Now
let's see how long it takes to get to Upstate New York.

04d Wisconsin variety by
Alan Carrington
Seen the prices on ebay on the 2004d Wisconsin state quarter with the "extra
leaf" on the cornstalk? I saw one go for over $150. Anyone know the specs on
the apparently rare version?

Ugly cent by
Michael Ng
Hi all,
While putting my cents into a roll to send to the bank, I found the
ugliest cent. It has lots of pits.
With a 5x magnifier, it actually looks like a 1972 Dbld Die Variety
(9-0-V).
You can either send me congratulations or condolences for finding such
a coin.

Over the Top collector by

1995 -- Non-Whitewater news from Arkansas: In Eureka Springs, alderman
candidate Louise Berry died on Oct. 6, but her supporters continued to
run ads against her opponent.
On Nov. 8, because of the effectiveness of the campaign, Berry pulled
out a narrow victory. In September, attorney-general...

1894 Dime Fetches $1.3 MILLION by

Yup, I still believe this is the time to shed that pointless adoration
for precious metal intrigue, and cash-in on those trinkets NOW while
their perceived value can do more for you than take up...

Has anyone looked at today's winning bids for the two-roll mint-sealed
