the only spot is on the rev where the strike was not great on the "of".
I've seen this on lots of cents.
Can anyone make any sense out of this cent being yellow?
Thanks, Doris

I'm now officially out of the state quarter cartel by
K6AZ
I had three $25 bags of quarters left, plus seven rolls of
assorted quarters, everything from DE to ME. I kept a
few of the nicer DE, NJ, and PA quarters but everything
else went to the bank. Well, that will get some Denver
state quarters circulating around here.
At one time I had over $600 face...

Need advice! My first coin show! by

I am going to my first coin show nest weekend (March 21) and would like to
ask the groups advice. There will be from 85 to 100 tables so it may take
awhile. I am going to mainly buy but I would also like to trade or sell
coins. I plan on taking coins to trade, my 2004 redbook, a loop...

"Euro errors" or interrupted process? by
Scot Kamins
Folks,
The auction of this "euro error" raised a question in my mind:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3903529438
The "error" is a blank plachet in a blank outer ring. Here's another of
the same type, except the outer ring got...

Beginner's question authenticity by
Zachary Whirley
Hi everyone, I hope this is the proper forum in which to ask such a
question.
My late father left me a "$10 1907 Gold Liberty Coin." It came in a small
ziplock bag with "J&C Ferrara" on it, which I can only presume is a jeweler
(I have found a few references to J&C Ferrara Jewelers by Googling...

Is this price guide really THAT far off? by
MikeCouil
I've got a price guide I picked up at B Dalton ( I live in a small town and
it's the only thing they had left in the going out of business clearance).
It's made by Krause publications and is simply titled "Coin Prices". I'm
relatively new at coins and dont have much of an option for guides around...

How many U.S. coins are there? by
Bill Fordler
Has anyone ever sat down with a redbook and calculator, and figured
this out?
It must be billions and billions.
Won't all available metal be used up by coins eventually, unless we
start melting all the old stuff?

A new article is about ready to appear on this newsgroup. It will
be worded something like this: (however not in as many words). :-)
What motivations do you have to collect coins..... OR maybe just a
plain old, 'Why do you collect coins'? But it will appear, and
then put into print. How long...
