Modern Parker Sonnet vs. Pelikan m250 by
Michael Hesson
I'm thinking of buying one of these pens, probably with a fine nib, for
(nearly) everyday use--and to give my Vanishing Point(s) a break once in
awhile! Does anyone have any advice on either the Parker Sonnets or the
Pelikan 250? Especially, how reliable they are, how comfortable for writing
at...

Levenger Infinity Journal? by
KCat
Anyone tried these with PR and similar inks?
I don't care about the leather binding but 30 bucks for 600 pages is a
pretty good deal *if* the paper will hold up to my dark and dense inks. I
don't usually care for that sort of binding but...
posting this everywhere (well, 3 forums)

Looking For an Ink Recommendation by
Jeremy
I have 2 Sheaffer Prelude fountain pens and one Cross Century Fountain pen
(I believe that it has been discontinued by now). I am currently using
Scrip ink, with the pens' converters.
I have noticed that Scrip black ink, in cartridges, seems thicker than does
the Blue ink, either in cartridges or...

Noodler's Firefly and Highlighters by
Dave
Hi
Any suggestions for creating a useful highlighter pen to go with this
lovely ink, for somebody who
(a) is accustomed to using broad-tip felt highlighters, and
(b) has no interest in "underline-style" highlighting, and definitely
prefers to make a single broad stroke that covers the words?
I...

More Truly Flexible Nibs by
Aaron W. Hsu
Does anyone know of any more pens that are truly flexible and resilient
enough to be used in Spencerian style handwriting? I have a custom nib
Namiki Falcon that I really love, and I have heard of a flex nib from
Noodler, but that is about it. Does anyone else do good, quality flexible
nibs...

parker pen on a string -- anyone recognises?? by
Mayer
Hello:
I'm trying to identify (and eventually obtain) a parker pen that used
to be popular during the 80's. It was an ordinary ballpoint pen that
was inserted into a pear-shaped holder that had a string pass through
it. This pen was very popular among clerical staff or librarians,
because the pen,...

College rule? by
JimL
Just an idle muse question.
The packages of paper cut and punched for three-ring notebook binders
for school children (and old children like me, gathering cheap scratch
paper in the back to school sales). -- The pages are lined, and one
of the two sizes of lines is labelled as "college ruled." ...

Why not just answer questions here? by
bowcan
Hi everyone,
Not trolling, just curious since I frequent FPN & have no compliants against
it.
(Just prefer to have more than one source of information & a.c.p-p is easier
sometimes.)
But I've noticed a trend here.

Problems with Private Reserve Ink? by
Argent
I recently visited a pen seller's site that had a note about Private Reserve
inks saying that using them voided the seller's warranty. I've been using
Private Reserve Black Cherry in a couple of my pens and haven't noticed any
problems.
Does anyone have an explanation or caution about...

The battle over ink dry times and why it exists. by
Scaupaug1
It has never been possible to make an ink that won't feather on the majority of
recycled papers....and to simultaneously make that same ink dry instantly on
paper made for ink jet printers. Ink jet ink has 80 to often well over 100
times as many surficants/detergents/spreaders as fountain pen ink...

Regarding Parker Big Red by
kasey
There were a few fountain pen expertise, whom duplicate or clone Parker
Duofold Big Red with different material and sell it in FP market. I would
like to know is it against copy right by doing this ? Or they did obtain
some approval document from Parker ?? Can anyone clear my doubt ?
Thank you.
