Difficulty obtaining president dollars. by
Dik T. Winter
In the past I had no problems obtaining the state quarters and president
dollars from my supplier. But as of 2008 he is apparently not able to
provide me with the president dollars. I do not want rolls, I want single
coins. What is the problem?

US Mint Medals Silver by
[email protected]
I have a couple of the 3 inch US Mint Presidential Medals which appear
to be struck in silver. They are definitely a lot thinner than the
bronze versions. They have the same finish as current medals struck
by the US Mint. One is Woodrow Wilson.
I am wondering:
1) Where they ever sold to the...

Long post...
I posted something similar to what follows elsewhere. It generated
only one response, a good response (on-target, substantive,
knowledgeable, and flame-free g) but it was from someone who hadn't
read the book, so on the off-chance that anyone here collects ancient

2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle - MS not proof by
Thomas N Mathberg
I just recieved mine in the mail. I am disappointed. Paid 1189 plus 4.95
shipping. I ordered it in early January and got it on Thursday. The mint
is now selling it for around $1300. The coin itself is beautiful but small
and thick. I really wish they would have made it the size of the...

New Canada 1859 Cent Variety Discovered by
RWF
I believe Mr. Jaggers had posted about an unusual 1859 cent he had.
In the latest edition of CCN, the cover story is about a new variety - a
double-punched narrow 9.
The doubling on the 9 is quite distinct

Am I wrong to be ****ed off? by
Thomas N Mathberg
I went to my local coin dealer today. I brought about 1.5K with me
because I wanted to buy some specific stuff. He didn't have it. No
problem. I only spent about $45. I have a folder I always bring with me
that contains my want lists, money, and coin sets I want to show the dealer.

US Mint by
David Farmer
hi,
After only 2 months the US Mint finally shipped my order! They sent me an
e-mail with tracking numbers, but didn't say who the carrier was. In the
past I know they used FedEx, but when I impute the number at their website
they aren't recognized.
thanks
Dave
