St. Patrick Coinage by
[email protected]
A Chairde,
An article in this month's issue of "Ireland's Genealogical Gazette" -
the monthly newsletter of the Genealogical Society of Ireland, seeks to
establish the true identity of the designer of St. Patrick Coinage.
Many examples of this coinage were taken to Great Britain's...

Mayyland Part clad Quarter, looking for offers by
wolfb
Here is what I think is a pretty good photo of the Maryland quarter I talked
about earlier. If you have some interest in it, make me an offer. I'm
easy. I love to trade.
Cheers!

What's A Good Metal Detector To Find Silver Coins? by
[email protected]
I have already wasted money on 2 cheap metal
detectors and find too much trash (actually had
better luck with a friends model I borrowed, he
got it from Walmart). I live in north NY state, I
know many areas where I can find alot of silver
if I can only stop digging up 99% trash!
Some of my found...

Not a new variety - eBay item 8400386739 by
americancoppercoins
Sometimes the best indicator you haven't found a new half cent variety is
stamped in the middle of the reverse. Yes, I admit I went through 2
reference books and 10 minutes before glancing at anything but leaftip
positions.

US Mint site issue by
Doggo
While trying to order online I get to the section where I enter my
information and it won't let me go any further because of a telephone number
glitch. The page keeps giving an error saying the phone number format is
wrong. Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks,
Ed

Even gotten a great unintentional deal by
[email protected]
Has anyone here ever gotten something for way less than what it was
worth because a dealer had it mislabled or in the wrong slot etc at a
show or flea market? (Say for example an "S" mint in the "D" slot of an
album when the S is valued at 10 times the price)....Would it be wrong
to take advantage...

Looking for bank silver by
Lowell Kempton
I have read on this thread that several people enjoy going to their
banks and buying coinage, pulling out 40% silver clads and other tid
bits. I have never done this but I thought I might give it a shot and
see what I could come up with.
I am aware of the Kennedy half dollars 1965 through 1969,...

1944s dime date doubled? by
[email protected]
Yeah, here I am again, guys.
Today's 2 hours on the microscope looking over more Mercs yielded a
surprise, one that I haven't found covered in any books: a 1944s with
full date doubled. While the doubling is obvious under 50x, I'm not
sure it's going to be obvious under 10x.
Anyone else heard of...

A pleasant result... by
Señor Amistad
My wife and I grabbed a bite of supper last night at a seafood place. It's
the kind of place where you order, pay right then, find a seat, and then go
pick up your grub when your number is called. Consequently, you never
actually have a "server" to wait on you, as such.
I noted a young man there...

Has anybody had any luck with eBay Want It Now? by
B.J. Herbison
I created three Want It Now entries for coins on eBay, and none of them
were useful. Has anyone had any success?
I've seen Want It Now posts with lots of responses, but they all seemed
to be for items that the poster should have found with a search. My
searches were all for specific items that I...
