How do I sell this book? by
BookEditions
I have a copy of "Who's Who in the Midwest", 5th edition (1956) and I need to
know the most resourcefull way to sell it on the internet. I checked on
Amazon.com but they only have later editions so I can't list in the
marketplace, and I really don't want to set up an auction account on...

Question about First Edition Advanced Review copies by
Paul
This weekend there is an auction here in town that has listed books marked
as "First Edition Advanced Review copies". I have tried looking some up on
abe but do not often find review copies. What is your opinion about the
value of one of these compared to a first not marked thus. Most books...

Piers Anthony - Bearing an Hourglass by
my-wings
I'm wondering if I have a book club edition of this book. Ordinarily I would
assume "yes" because my book has no price on the jacket, but after perusing
the entries at AddALL, I'm not sure. Several books on AddALL having 311 or
299 pages were identified as BCEs. My book has 293 pages.
This is a...

Barry Hughart Website by
Mike Berro
Jerry Kuntz's excellent Hughart web site is defunct, but both Jerry and
Barry have allowed me to post some of the content on my site. I have posted
the complete "first draft" of Bridge of Birds, as well as an interview with
Hughart conducted by Jerry.
Sadly, it still appears that the Hughart...

My Batak Pustaha by
Jerry Morris
Remember the accordion-style book I mentioned last week in the Ebay
Finds thread?
It could very well be the notebook of a Batak medicine man from
Sumatra, written on the inner bark of a tree:

Amazon Pro Merchant account - worthwhile? by
Sophie Borodin
Hello,
Right now I've got about 400 books & CDs listed on half.com and about
100 on Amazon. I'm moving about 10% of my inventory a week on Amazon
and only about 3% a week on half. I'm considering joining the Pro
Merchant program on Amazon, since I'll be working my way up to at
least 1200 or so...

ABE wantlist email parser by
Mike Berro
I have written (another) ABE email parser program. This one scans your Inbox
(or any other Outlook folder you specify) for ABE emails, then adds each
item to an explorer tree, under the search criteria headings. You can then
click each item (or scroll through them) and view each book...

Visual Aids - Page edges by
my-wings
I've added two new pages to my book descriptions "visual aids."
I've called these "Edge trims" and "Edge treatments" to differentiate
between the shape of the paper (deckle, cut, etc.) and things applied to the
paper (gilt edges, or publisher's stain). Mostly I separated them to
decrease page...

"Happy Find" at a FOTL sale by
ann greenfield
Last Sunday I had a marvelous time at a local FOTL sale. Since brags
don't seem to go over very well any more, I'll call this a "happy find".
I had picked out more than 30 mysteries (all firsts, to either keep or
give to friends) when I spotted what I thought to be a pretty good SF
title...Orson...
