The mint by zeek
Is there a way or link to contact the mint electronically? The only thing I see is a phone number and address. I hope to find out info concerning the SAE Unc coin I bought in Oct.. I was then told the back-order was 11/13, now it's 12/11 and I don't even know if the 12/11 relates to my coin.

Athens Numismatic Museum by MDB
Just thought I would call in and let everyone know I stopped in at the Numismatic Museum in Athens a couple of weeks ago. It is well worth setting aside a few hours for if you get the chance and want to take time to view all the specimens. It has full audio commentary in various languages...

State Quarter rolls by Dale Hallmark
Went to the bank the other day and as usual I asked if they have any unc st quarter rolls, unc nickel rolls, Ikes, Kennedys, 2 dollar bills etc. as I normally do. I can't remember the last time I got a positive response to my request. This time I got a roll of uncirculated N Dakota quarters. ...

Holiday Swap Received! by Jud
I get to be first!! Actually, Ed Hendricks is first out of the blocks in sending his swaps. In the World Coin category Ed sent me 2 uncirculated crowns of the British Empire, which I avidly collect. Although I had both of these coins already, his were in a far superior condition to the ones I had,...

Coin photography. by note.boy
This pic is of a dime that was placed on a piece of paper on the carpet and shot in "macro" mode with a Pentax non SLR digital camera, natural light only with no reflectors, not fiddled with in any photo enhancing tool.. The time taken was very little. Is it really worth while buying an...

nickel search by seeker
After reading the post on the 1950 d nickel finds, I decided to give it a try. I searched 1 box yesterday and 1 box today. I did not find any 1950 nickels at all. My best finds from the two boxes we Maybe 20 coins in the 1939 - 1959 range that I kept. Nothing Key. Although 1 1959 looks to be in...

I've Had Two 1995-W's That I Bought Ten Years Ago And Had NO IDEA What They Were Worth by [email protected]
First off, I am not a coin collector. At least, not on purpose. I purchased two 10th Anniversary Five Coin Gold American Eagle sets ten years ago for my two kids. It killed me to pay $1,000 each for these but I did anyway. I stuck these in my safe deposit box and forgot about them. Over the...

Question about grading of error coins by [email protected]
About 30 years ago I was fortunate enough to find a number of major die break errors ("cuds") in a bag of newly minted cents. I've sold a few now and then over the years and still have some left. I sell them on eBay and they go for anywhere from $25 to $75. My question for you is whether you...

Aw, c'mon. Try to give it your best shot. And it would also help to point out any defects the camera might not pick up. http://tinyurl.com/y45b7c Bruce '8 years of research and he still isn't comfortable estimating the grades of his coins'
