PCGS Price Guide, subtle change? by Mr. Jaggers
I just consulted the online PCGS price guide and find the message "The prices listed in this price guide are for PCGS graded coins only." Didn't it used to say that the prices were for "accurately graded" coins, even though we all know exactly what they meant by that? James

RF's Ira Rants by gambler[_2_]
I'm a long-time lurker who used to be an avid, active coin collector. Over the last few years, I've enjoyed Ira's posting because he offers interesting information about the coins he sells. Recently, I've seen a continuous stream of attacks on Ira (and coin dealers in general) from RF. Acouple of...

what have we here by Sir William
I can see, just reading a few of these topics, that I am amongst exalted company here, so this probably going to make me look like a muffin...but I have this coin with which I could do with some help. It is - or claims to be - a one dollar piece - it looks gold but probably isn't, it is encased in...

What does WRPM-8 mean? by Bill Krummel
I have two 1938-D/D buffalo nickels. One is MS65 in a SEGS slab, one is an MS65 in an NGC slab. The SEGS has the notation "WRPM-8" on it and I can't figure out the meaning. The NGC has no notations other than date and grade. Comparing the two coins, and companies, the SEGS has a marginally...

Can't believe this is a featured auction by JOPN
How the heck does e-bay choose the auctions that appear on the top of the page? The are so called "featured". I assume by e-bay. Is that correct? Look at this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2589481335&category=46685 Looks like some kinda pyramid thing to me. John N
