Pair of fake Parthian coins on eBay by
Robert A. DeRose, Jr.
There's a pair of cast fake Parthian drachms of Phraates II for sale
on eBay right now. At least the seller was kind enough to put two
"coins" cast from the same mold for sale together, to make the fakery
even more...

Large Cent Newcomb variety help by
Bruce Remick
I'm trying to come up with the proper Newcomb attribution for the 1847
"over small 7" US large cent. I have a 3rd edition Newcomb book but
none of the described 40 varieties for this date seem to address this
particular variety.

The 1876 Coinage Committee by
Harold Fears
The 1876 Jersey Coinage Committee wanted the reverse of the new coinage to
be "similar to, though not an exact copy of the Channel Islands' Exhibition
Medal 1871, which also contains other arms than those of the Island. As
regards the obverse, the Committee is particularly desirous of
retaining...

Help identifying US silver dollar by
Mike Y.
Hello, I recently found what looks like a very old silver dollar and
the dang thing doesn't have the year it was minted anywhere. I have
narrowed it down to probably a morgan silver dollar but I haven't
found one that matches this one so I'm hoping from my description,
someone will know or be able...

Prize received and questions by
Robert A. DeRose, Jr.
I just received my prize from Greg "Beekeep" Ferris' contest, and I am
very happy. First was an ancient bronze of Ephesus featuring a bee on
one side, c.280 BC- woo-hoo! But he was also kind enough to include
an English merchant token (I think these are called "Conders") dated
1792 that features...

More $2s Printed by
Malanutt 4 Life
Apparently from what I read on wheregeorge.com, new $2 star notes were printed.
If anyone wants to see more details on it, go to wheresgeorge.com, forums, then
the main public forum.
My only disappointment was that I'm 99.9% sure they aren't redesigned $2s. )-:
But seeing a new series is still...

Rotated reverse or optical illusion? by
Jim Seymour
Does this '64 Jeff have a slightly rotated reverse, or is it just the way the
scans are tilted?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3046249107
If it is rotated, how common is that? (I know next to nothing about such
"errors").

OT Never forget by
Bob Rudd
All of us were touched in different ways two years ago on
September 11. Lives were lost, lives were threatened, lives
were forever changed, at the very least, never to be the same
again.
Living in the suburbs of the nation's capital, I've observed
everyone's demeanor changing, ever so slightly,...
