more newbie "ness" :-) by
linxlvr
Hi all again. Thank you for the information provided in other responses
and I do seem to be slowly learning more and more.
What is a good book for a newbie? Not a book on values, though comments on
such are welcome, but rather a book explaining terms, important aspects
to look for, etc.

.... this was true of E7 and G5 stamps ... specialists prefer mint
copies as a result ... even then, humidity can be a problem, depending
on climate you dwell...

Liberty or Minuteman? by
Jim Lloyd
I was an avid collector of US stamps for several years. Because of health
issues and finances I was not able to keep up with my collection. I am now
wanting to get back into the greatest hobby in the world. My problem is that
my Harris Liberty album is ten years out of date. I have realized that if...

Personalized stamps are back by
[email protected]
Hi all,
it seems like personalized stamps are back: I came across the following
article: http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9588_22-5667888.html.
On the website www.westampu.com you can create a postcard with your
individual stamp and also your individual motif.
Cheers!

amesh \(Mette\)
What does the Belgian word "béguinage" mean in English?
http://queries.heindorffhus.dk/be2000-Beguinages.jpg
I cannot find this term in my Oxford Advanced Learners.
The scan may not be very clear, but in the lower left corner is printed

archives similar to that of Canada and the Austrian Sammler-Service?
What I am after is good descriptions of all stamps from any stamp issuing
entity, more or less the way it is done by Canada and Austria ... :-) I
know...

I have many stamps stained from the brightly coloured envelopes of today,
red, green and what have you. Is there any economical way of removing them
without damaging the stamps? Please help.
