Mail order list? by Joe
I'm tired of trying to find coins on Ebay. It seems many of the coins I want have multiple bidders that push the price past its value (Peace dollars are a good example), and then add the $4.95 shipping (for a Barber dime in a padded envelope, gee whiz). Anyone care to give a mail order website...

SLAB VALUES? by [email protected]
Where can I find the value of slabs. Received a PGS Silver 1964 P Proof 70 Kennedy. Only my second slab in 50 + years of collecting - wondering at the value. Nice conversation piece - a "perfect coin"- Ken

How to tell meem apart by FJG
I am looking at both a silver and clad 2003 dime in their mint plastic holders. The clad looks brighter and the silver looks more frosted. As I look on ebay under proofs not to many appear listed as to what their made of. Outside of asking the seller is there a way to tell? Thanks Frank

FA: 1853 A&R Quarter, AU by Randy Thompson
I just love the look of these Seated Liberty Quarters with Arrows and Rays. In fact, I have three of them so I decided to let this one go. This one has some light hairlines on the obverse and a very light scratch in the right obverse field. I wasn't sure how the masses would bid on a coin with...

1986 SAE Roll Tubes - Orange or White/Green?? by dennismike
Just looking for some quick info, if possible. I have been collecting U.S. coins for over 50 years, but only fairly recently began to purchase a few rolls of Silver Eagles. I have acquired enough to know that most years of original rolls were packed in the white semi-opaque tubes with the green...

Searching pocket change questions by Joe
I want to expand my collection by finding unique items in pocket change. Question 1: How do you tell if you have a small date or large date, such as on a 1970s penny? I'm looking at a black and white photo of each side by side and the only difference I notice is the small date looks like a...

what to do with this morgan by Rick
I got this 98-S in a box of morgan that were suppose to be MS+. I might get 3 of 40 at MS, most of the rest a AU. Anyway, this one is especially disappointing. A really good date but.... What does one do with this type coin. It looks like the bag was dropped from a car at about...

I miss the 50 wheat per roll days of the 50'S! And of course, I wish I had saved a lot of them. Bruce e wrote: cruised a $25 box today. found seven wheats, and one 60 p-d large-small date set and half another. slim pickings. i miss the 3-4 wheats per roll days of the 70's. that was when...

Are coins made from abused dies collectable? by frank wight
Hiya, The 1994-p Kennedy halves, some of them, are struck on obverse dies that have been damaged by some mint employee who was supposed to do some light grinding around Kennedy's profile. Instead this zealous person took his drill motor and ground around the ear and jaw line as well. Such "clean...
