Numismatic News Classified Ads by RF
I guess since subscribers get a free ad they feel they have nothing to lose but some of the offerings are ludicrous. For example: 12 Wheatback cents for $2 or 2 silver quarters. Now $2 is bad enough but 2 silver quarters are worth at LEAST $5!

2005 $10 Gold Eagle PCGS MS69 First Strike MS69 by [email protected]
I have this coin, designated #73275051 by PCGS. PCGS does not list the coin in First Strike. In fact, PCGS does not list first strike $10 gold First Strikes until 2006. Would anyone wish to comment? Daniel B. Wheeler

FA: 1955/55 Lincoln Cent PCGS MS-63RB by Ira
I paid considerably more for this one than I paid for the MS-63RB I sold a couple of weeks ago, but it looks as nice as most MS-64RBs at considerably less dollars. About 50% red and the nicest I've ever handled in a MS-63RB holder. You can see it...

Newspaper columnist wants $1 and $2, no 1¢ coins by Paul Anderson
A columnist for the Columbia, Missouri Tribune would do away with the one-cent coin and $1 and $2 bills: http://www.columbiatribune.com/2008/Jun/20080620Feat002.asp These sensible suggestions are made in point 4 of the column. Paul --

FA: 28 lots of nice coins by LRC-Tom
I don't think I've ever had as many lots on eBay at once: I've been a very active buyer lately, as you can see. Highlights include: - two original double mint sets (1952 and 1958) - Many key and semi-key Morgans, including 1894-P, 1895-O, and other tough dates. High-grade Circs and BUs - 1886...

Roll find-modern by Bill Krummel
As part of my hobby I search rolls of uncirculated coins when I receive them from the bank. Right now, I have five rolls of 2008-D nickels and 10 rolls of 2008-D cents to search. In the past I have received from the bank uncirculated Kennedy half rolls but I have not seen any of those for...

FA: 1796 Draped Bust Dollar, Small Eagle Reverse PCGS EF-40 by Ira
The small eagle reverse dollars are far less common than the Draped Bust dollars with the heraldic eagle reverse. See this attractive example, never cleaned, and priced under Graysheet wholesale asked. Just click on this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260253495421

Prioritising - Variations Vs. Common by Coffee's For Closers
It is a question of priorities. My personal example is... I am accumulating circulated New Zealand predecimal coins and notes. As is probably the case for other areas, this is divided into two financial sections. There are the common dates, with lower prices. And there are the variations,...
