I am seeing 2006 silver eagles on EBay and graded MS65. How are these coins being graded when they are not supposed to be shipped until February 2nd according to the mint? Any body know how to get them sooner? Greg

Universal Rarity Scale by MikeO
I've just finished reading "The Expert's Guide to Collecting & Investing in Rare Coins" by Q. David Bowers. Do any of you know of a source for Universal Rarity Scale numbers for most U.S. coins? Bowers gives URS numbers for a few coins throughout the book, but not for many. If URS numbers aren't...

Owners Eyes by Bruce H (BoxTurtle)
Greetings! We've all heard the phrase "Ownership adds a point to the grade" or variants thereof. I've always called that condition "owners eyes" and I've felt that I suffer from that condition much than average. Well, I made that statement to a friend of mine who collects quarters after we...

RUSSIA: 1842 rouble (A-Ch) -- rare overdate? by Bob Hairgrove
I picked up this coin today at the "Internationale Münzenbörse" in Basel. This venue used to be the "World Money Fair", but that has moved to Berlin and will take place next weekend. Needless to say, the show has lost much of its former glamour (I can only compare it to last year's show). Spent a...

89 years on the march by Alan Williams
And Lord only knows where it's been! But it's home now, home for good. Just popped out of a roll of nickles I got at the bank this morning, a 1917 Buffalo Nickel, full date, G-4. Welcome home, old man. I had a feeling I was due for another Buffalo. The real one, not the 2005 honorary bison. ...

Advice from Freeman and or Peck owners by Colin G.
Hello all, I am after a bit of advice, I own a copy of Freeman, but it is a first edition copy. In it he lists 7 obverses for the bronze bunhead farthing series. Had any new obverses been identified in the second edition? Can anyone confirm how many Peck identified? Many Thanks Colin G.
