toned by Dale Hallmark
Normally I don't like toned coins. However I think this colorful medal looks good http://cgi.ebay.com/Austria-Franz-Joseph-1848-98-Toned-Medal-by-W-Pittner_W0QQitemZ8424888956 Dale

My Silver hoard afternoon of fun by Harv
http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=506102 I shot the picture at the top of the page. Had a friend post it with a made-up story. Waited to see what the reaction was. Then scroll down a bit and you'll see my posting where I explain the whole thing. It was, umm, an...

Appraisers in North Eastern Massachusetts? by Jane
I have some coins that need to be graded. I live north of Boston. Does anyone know of a good place to go? I know nothing about coins. These were left to me by my Dad and I need to have some graded before I sell them. Thanks

Yes, it does indeed appear that this gentleman is seeking to appeal to those enthusiasts who love heavy toning on their numismatic items... Amistad 'they're out there!'

Someone with a KM catalog look up a coin for me? by Brian O
I've heard that the Cook Islands has issued a $1 denomination coin that depicts Elvis Presley. The date of the coin is 2004. If anyone has a 2005 catalog or later could confirm this and maybe get the Krause number for me, it would be appreciated. Thanks. B

.25 cents in change from the gas station revealed the following-- by bri
10-1917 Lincoln cents ranging from Fr2 to a nice VF30 and 15 BU '06P Lincolns of which I haven't even looked at yet. She said they had a whole roll given to them so I wonder who kept the nicer '17's? And one would wonder if someone reaalllly needed a nicotine fix bad? ;-)

FA: Big medals and tokens (sorry, forgot the link) by Cliff
Sitting with no bids and looking lonely. The big medals are heavy and I can't read the writing. The small tokens and stuff are the usual stuff, including a Wall Drug token. Looking for a good home http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8423999861

FA: Old Chicago Striptease Club Token, "Good For 5c in Drinks" by Bob
The "French Casino" is listed in Chicago Confidential (1950) under "Palaces of Peel" where one can see "Bare Babes," though stripping was illegal in Chicago then. A scarce if not rare token, listed as R5 (highest rarity R6) by the late Ore Vacketta in his catalog of Illinois trade tokens. The...
