Brent-Krueger supplies by
Dan769
Just a little heads up on the great service turned in by Brent-Krueger
supplies. Quick, accurate and with the July 4th holiday in there, I still
received the product in a week.
Very impressive.
Thanks,
Dan

OK, looked through $50 in cents today. All of them came from the same
person. Don't know where they found them, but they were all in poor
condition - full of grit, many looked burned. They may have found them
and saved them?

Question - 1830 50 cent piece by
Brian
Found in a box of old junk was this coin in VF/XF. I know absolutely
nothing about 50 cent pieces but just looking at the Red Book, I see
that the value for this coin with large letters is 4 figures, as
opposed to $50 or $80.
Too bad the red book I have doesn't show the difference in lettering

HOME SHOP COINS? by
Peter T Davis
A lot of us watch it, for entertainment value. Only those with more money
than sense buy. You can get the same stuff at about a quarter the price
usually, at a regular coin dealer.

This guy is totally misrepresenting the item. It's NOT a silver set. Never
mind that he took it upon himself to grade it at PF70. LOL!
I don't think it's a photo mistake...

OT weapons of mass destruction by
J. A. McNerney
I got this one from the discussion on The Canadian Coin Reference Site.
http://www.canadiancoin.com/index2.htm
Try this soon, before Google fixes its site:
1) Go to http://www.google.com
2) Type in (but don't hit return): "weapons of mass destruction" -with quotation marks

Cleaning old coins -how? by
Harri Annala
I've been saving/collecting coins since I was a child. As I only kept pieces
that were in decent shape (and stored them fairly well) I have not had to
deal with this question too much.
Anyhow I have come into a large amount of older coins recently (see my
posting on 15.7 "Early Christmas...") I...

My Buy of the Week by

I walked into my local Pawn Shop today just to have a look around and to
talk to the Proprietor for a bit. I happened to notice that he has added
more coins to the case since my last visit. I asked him to pull the
trays out so I could look through his loose coins. He has alot of '64

Last gasp for silver dollar slots by
Steven Preston
While this may be of limited utility, those nearby may be interested to
know that there are still slot machines in Nevada that pay out in silver
dollars. In Reno, at the CalNeva there were two such machines (both
accept quarters for play), one which paid out in silver eagles and one
which paid out...

Unknown coin found in arcade machine. What is it? by
Andromodon
I found a curious looking coin today when I freed it from a jammed
arcade machine. It's probably not worth much, and more than likely is
still in circulation, but it is engraved in some eastern language that
I don't understand. I looked around the internet trying to identify
it, but didn't have...
